I'm sure he knew they would kneel beforehand and planned to leave. So he flew out there planning to only stay for the anthem. Seems like a waste of money. At some point, a little fiscal responsibility would be nice.

First, I like football and would hate to see it go.
Second, I hate the fringe left as much as I hate the fringe right and think both have recently been ceded power far in disproportion to their actual numbers which is ultimately bad for the country.
The problem I see with your position is the progressives are not the ones that will get credit (blame) for killing the NFL in the current atmosphere, the Trump Republicans will. For the majority of the Trump Republicans killing the NFL is really an action against self-interest. While I loathe the term "useful idiots" that's what the progressives have turned them into in this scenario.

Nice deflection. I didn't ask you which side of the debate you supported. We were discussing what this particular publicity stunt cost the taxpayers. Pence wasting all this money for a photo op is no different than the protesters paid by soros. It's easy to take a stand when it doesn't cost you anything or someone else is paying for it.
I can guarantee you that if Pence had to pay for all the secret service prep work plus his tickets, transportation, etc., that he would have found a cheaper way to express his displeasure.
Let's say that Obama or Biden had spent the same amount to protest the NRA (or any other cause that republicans support). This board would explode over it. You know it and I know it.
