The Shah has said he supports the forming of a constitutional monarchy, but that's just what he has to say to get back in power. Almost all of the ME monarchies are absolute.

The main issue aside, this is an objectively stupid statement. This guy was an adult, and a pilot in the Iranian Air Force when his father was overthrown. He wasn't some infant who never knew the culture. His entire adult life has been spent as the Iranian crown Prince in Exile.

I don’t think helping install the son of our CIA installed puppet Shah would be the smart or best route in this situation.
