You can hate Israel all you want, but Hamas started ahit and then ran and hid behind civilians and sought to run up casualties on their own side as high as possible for political reasons.

Hamas was responsible for the slaughter and should be condemened by anyone who actually gives a shite about Gazans.

In 1979 we forced the Shah out by mandating “humane” treatment of his opponents. We didn’t need to have balls; we just needed good sense.

Hey moron, I’ve been on here almost 5 years.

Moron? Cute. Someone disagrees with you, and you resort to juvenile insults.

You've barely posted. In five years. You're not giving up much. Congratulations, I guess?

And if they do end up catching charges, it'll be the biggest travesty of justice since the Saint Floyd of Fentanyl cops and Kyle Rittenhouse were charged.

Have no clue why Signal has to do with 3 videos showing an outright execution.

If you call that an "outright execution", this conversation ends right here and now. It is hilarious how the facts of the matter are NOT out, but still you are convinced that Border Patrol formed a kill team and engaged an innocent bystander with the explicit intent to murder him in cold blood. This is asinine, and you should look at the actual evidence before succumbing to your own delusional fantasies catalyzed by emotional ebullitions.

And as far as if those CPB agents will or will not be prosecuted? Based upon what evidence is available right now, they shouldn't. We'll see what the body cam footage pieces together to put the rest of the story together. And I wouldn't bet on them being NOT prosecuted, myself, because it's Minneapolis. Derek Chauvin rots in prison for another 25 years because he restrained a career criminal who died of a drug overdose while resisting arrest. The State of Minnesota wouldn't surprise me at all if they railed another group of cops that were put into a bad situation while simply trying to do their jobs.

But the actual known facts do not support the assertion, at this time, that Pretti was there simply as a "peaceful observer". He injected himself into the middle of a federal operation, physically, for whatever reason and excuse you want to make for him, and was carrying a firearm impermissibly. And if you want to know what the "Signal Chat" scuttlebutt has to do with that? Well IF it turns out as alleged, that Pretti was part of the group and scrubbed his socials two days before being killed and a week after being harmed in another physical altercation against federal officers, and then showed up illegally carrying a concealed firearm to disrupt another federal operation, it establishes "intent" and creates a narrative that even the most corrupt Minnesota prosecutor wouldn't be able to overcome in waging criminal lawfare against the agents.

This isnt America First but lets see how it goes

Honestly, I think this is the reasonable position.

Ideologically, this isn't what I voted for. If it is successful and the long term blowback is minimal, great, congrats Trump and Co., something good that others long wanted to do was accomplished by our team, etc.

I think it's completely normal to say that if we could snap our fingers and overthrow the regime, we'd do it. But that we know how American interventions have traditionally worked despite good intentions, and on an academic level, I'm opposed to our involvement.

One thing I'll say, and a view I've had forever, is that America should demand substantial "skin in the game" before we go around the globe answering the call. Arguably, Iran may have done that more than most (of course, Ukraine, which wouldn't be popular, arguably meets that criteria too).
