The video starts out suggesting that b/c astronomers and physicist observe that the universe had a beginning... that suggest a creator. It goes on to say that the complexity of life suggest a designer. As an agnostic who keeps an open mind and understands we really dont have a firm grasp on the nature of reality I dont take issue with either of those ideas. What I dont understand is how these suggestions give any credibility or insight into the nature or existence of God or any god that humans worship.

I dont believe in any gods that humans worship but I'm open to the idea of a existence beyond what we perceive with our five senses. Does that make me an atheist in your opinion? I certainly dont have that opinion based on not wanting to be held accountable for sexual sins.

I cannot say who will be saved and who won't. The bible says many are called, but few are chosen. I do believe Jesus loves all people.
I can. It's not hard, the instructions are pretty clear. Keep the commandments. If you think you can worship the idol of Jesus and be saved, you're in for a rude awakening. If you believe, you will do as he does and you will keep the commandments.
However, the thing I can not account for is time. Anyone can be redeemed, and honestly - it's probably often a matter of how bad it has to get for someone before they learn.
But I can always look at someone's current path and see where they are heading. That's not hard at all. You're in denial if you can't look at your own and see.

What is your take on atheism?
What others believe for themselves is completely none of my business.
I'm not a Christian in the strictest sense but I believe in a higher power. I don't judge anyone for their beliefs except for those beliefs that restrict me.

If one, theologically speaking, could somehow manage to live and die without sin then there would be nothing God could hold against him because he would be sinless, so theologically speaking, I suppose "keep the commandments" is "a way" to heaven. Problem is, none of us have been able to accomplish that.

The 10 commandments are not difficult to follow at all, outside of the 3rd for me (sailors mouth
)
Jesus’ commandments are the tricky ones. Loving your enemies and neighbors, I don’t think anyone follows that to a T.

It's a common misconception that the commandments are hard to keep because you confuse them with vices. Vices are things which can often lead to breaking the commandments if not kept in check. The "seven deadly sins" are the most common vices that will lead you to breaking the commandments, but not generally the commandments themselves. Wrath for example is one of my weaknesses that I have to keep in check.
The most common way people break the commandments is via government and envy. AKA coveting your neighbors house - and you likely don't even realize it.
But if you look at the actual commandments themselves, it's not that difficult. You don't have to be a perfect person, I am most definitely not that.
And if you are breaking them, you should stop.

At the end of the day, we have eyewitness accounts of a man who claimed to be God, who predicted his own death and resurrection, his life fulfilling a lot of prophecy that had been written hundreds of years prior. This man’s disciples went from being in hiding after their leader was murdered to proclaiming his resurrection and message with boldness, even to their own torture and death.
If these men were just conspiring to start their own religion, they picked a bizarre story to concoct, with the figurehead being murdered in the most humiliating way and then being all willing to go to their deaths lying about something so incredible as the man coming back to life.
This man’s name is so common so as to be taken in vain as an expletive, the book compiled about him being the best seller ever, yet so few bother to even read these accounts of his life and what he said for themselves.
If these accounts about this man are true, and he himself claimed to be the only way to God, we would do well to take note and consider what he said.

Jesus certainly made it a higher standard with addressing the posture of our hearts relative to the commandments but I'd argue we do a terrible job of keeping them. Sure I haven't killed anyone but I've lied, I've coveted, I've ignored God for stretches of time, I've neglected the Sabbath, etc.

Jesus has the keys to heaven. I fail sometimes, but more from ignorance than anything else. My biggest struggle at the moment is over money. Not the lack of, but how I use it. I'm not rich, but I try to save, but at the same time, I wonder if I should give more to those who need it.
Sorry for the short ramble. I can get a little off topic.

I mean this lovingly brother, you're lying to yourself if you think you're keeping the commandments fully and completely to the degree of perfection required by God. You mean to tell me you've never lied, stolen, neglected the sabbath, coveted, etc.? Even one time? Because remember, all it takes is once.
