Police were clearly outnumbered. This event was certainly predictable. They're should have beem large numbers of armed National Guard troops around the Capitol before the crowd syarted to arrive. No one would have gotten in, and 5 people would be alive today.

Im sure there were a few people there antifa, but there were a large majority of trump supporters, and there is multiple videos showing them breaking glass, having zip ties, etc. take responsibilty, or deny and come up with ridiculous stories

This. I’m honestly amazed that only one person got shot after seeing videos of some of the interactions. The second, third, and fourth people in the line of presidential succession were in that building. OTOH, I’m not sure how much more they could have done with the resources they (apparently) had, short of using lethal force sooner. They were woefully outnumbered and I’m sure nobody wanted to be the first to fire shots.
