Same. I do know one who had a dad in his life, awesome guy too, but he worked overseas and would be gone for months at a time. Not sure what effect if any that had on his views. That being said the aforementioned liberal was always a live and let live, agree to disagree kind of person when it came opposing viewpoints. Not sure how he is now, haven’t talked to him in a couple of years, but I hope nothing has changed in that regard because you couldn’t have asked for better buddy/classmate when we’re growing up.

As was discussed in the CS Lewis thread, being nice, or “live and let live” is why we’re in this predicament.
