That’s exactly what Democrats refused to stand for. Tells you everything.
FIRST of all, the Dems refusing to stand was predictable and tells us nothing except that THIS WAS ALL THEATER.
SECONDLY, this WH list is nonsense or exaggeration or wishful thinking. Plus, why play partisan games like this with the other team to force applause? Even if our side is right. I hated it when 0bama or Potato did it.
"Lowest murder rate in 125 years"?? "Ending fraud & waste"?? "Crushing fentanyl"?? "Angel Families"?
The other bullet points are obvious no brainers, so why peacock about it? Oh that's right -- because "America is watching gamesmanship!"
* EVERY single SOTU goes down the exact same way. This was not the exception.* This was NOT Washington, Lincoln, FDR, JFK or Reagan. Not remotely.
MORE SCRIPTED WWE STAGECRAFT
By now I'd have hoped a good many of us wouldn't be so easily fooled by the same-ol' same-ol'.
As to the usual theatrics, this political SOTU WWE script called for Dems (aka "HEELS") to NOT stand and to look glum; just as the same script (and act / scene) called for Dems to NOT show up while looking petty and deranged (see Al Green's clown-world sign from the get-go.)
THIRDLY, this entire scripted SOTU speech by The Emperor (our HERO) used the usual soaring (empty) rhetoric and stagecraft -- with the usual over-exaggerated bullet point "accomplishments", self pats-on-the-back, and YEAH TEAM!! pom-pom waving "gotchas!" -- presented with a mixture of condescension, pretension and pomposity. The accomplishments are as usual ambiguous or protoplasmic depending on which "team's" perspective / spin. The SOTU "Home" team always gets to define "the facts". It's mostly always wishful thinking and "shining city on the hill" stuff -- until reality changes, "due to unforeseen circumstances"....
To fully exploit and spellbind their side or political agnostics, during this particular exercise the event-planners, scriptwriters and Trump decided to go hard on a diet of mesmerizing spell-casting and psychological alchemy.
And before some of you accuse me of being a "Dem" or "not a team-player" or "traitor to the Republican Party", it is my position that the Dems philosophy is evil, malevolent and perverted / inverted; Be that as it may, they are cast as "The Rebellion" and the "dark" side.
I refuse to participate in any game that is rigged against all of us. I remain an independent observer of overlords' 'Game Board', calling it as I see it.
