In short, both conservatives and liberals seem to gravitate towards policies that make the country less productive and less safe.
Can you point to the policies conservatives agree upon that make us less productive and safe?

Sneaky sneaky. Can you point to the policies that conservatives "agree upon"?

They're not.
The only real differences are the lies they tell to get elected.

It's a simple as life and death. Conservatives belief in the dignity of the individual and the right to life of the unborn. The liberals believe the child in the mother's womb is not human and therefore has no dignity and no right to life.
Most people don't care either way. It's the loons that get distracted by social issues that are the loudest.

To start, not taxing those that have into oblivion for those that refuse to do anything.

Too general.
Once you account for all forms of taxes, what should the total tax burden for an individual be?

I’m sorry, are we talking about conservatives vs liberals?

It's already been stated, but:
It's about collectivism vs individualism.
About emotion vs facts.
Simple as that.

Think most would agree with the getting rid of the federal income tax.
But I’d be fine with maybe 10% flat tax

Are we also cutting federal Medicare and SS taxes?

10-15% flat tax or national sales tax.
The states can do whatever they want imo. We have free movement between them. They should be 50 smaller economic experiments.

Of course we are. Both are too bloated and both are going bankrupt.

In general, one group "works" for a living and the other "draws" a pay check that is government related. The latter depends on the government to tax the "workers" in order to increase the amount they "draw".

Not only do I not believe this is a policy that conservatives "agree" on, but I would argue that a 10-15% national tax is far too high and makes the country "less productive".
"Conservatives" helped create this federal monster; I give them no credit for pretending to want to take chips out of the mountain.

They don't agree on it at all. I don't think the government should even know how much money I make.

World view.
Conservatives are people who believe that human nature is not intrinsically good and that we were created by a Supreme Being to whom we are answerable.
Leftists are people who believe that human nature is intrinsically good, that we are merely another animal species that evolved by accident, and that we are not accountable to any power higher than earthly government.
