re: Why can’t Trump just stick to talking policy?

You people just don't get it.
People either Love him or Hate him. The people that hate him will never support him - EVER. It's not being arrogant, it's telling the facts. He's already lost his haters. They will never ever like him. Period.
However, if they love the way the country is going right now, they will vote for A or they will sit out and Support A
There is no in between here. This election is not Trump vs Biden. This election is about America or Cuba/Venezuela.
Do you want to live in great America or do you want to live in Cuba/Venezuela?
One person wants this country to be like Cuba/Venezuela, the other person wants to be a great America.
That's it - there is no in between.
If you want to live in Cuba/Venezuela then by all means vote for Biden or sit out this election. If you want to live in a great/safe America then vote for Trump no matter how much you hate his guts

Policy doesn’t move the needle for Trump’s core
The irony is a good portion of Desantis voters will vote for the Democrat and an even larger group will not vote. And, despite the complaints, it won’t be because of policy.

I think you might be the one not getting it.
Again, Trump has my vote in the general. I voted for the guy in ‘16 and again in ‘20.
Again, MOST Americans are not on this board. There’s no line to be drawn right now because for better or worse, a lot of Americans traditionally stay undecided right up until the end. Trump had a great record and could easily be selling that record to these people.
A lot of younger voters are going to be first time voters this next election. Now, granted most of them are probably going to vote Dem (because young people are generally idealistic and politically stupid) but you don’t just write em off.
You’ve got yourself in this bubble where everyone has their mind made up already.
You may not think Trump needs to sell his record to anyone but he does. And he should because he had a good record to sell.
Again, the angry arrogance and telling people to take a hike unless they’re already all bought in is short-sighted imo.

What I think is funny is the “conservatives” that are anti-Trump are only anti-Trump because of the “mean tweet” narrative. The Trump supporters that are skeptical of the of Trump’s Republican opponents are worried about his opponents just being part of the uniparty.
Which one sounds more ignorant? All observable information points to the fact that everyone should be worried that all Trump alternatives are just another uniparty politician like McCarthy or Ryan.
The only real criticism of Trump has always been about “mean tweets”. That shouldn’t even register on people’s minds compared to the outrage over Pelosi ripping up the State of the Union address, weaponizing the DOJ, fake impeachments, “peaceful” protest, and things like Biden’s “good people” lie. The whole hate Trump over everything else because he is supposedly unrefined sometimes is just ridiculous.

He needs to be more like Romney and McCain.
That works so well.
Before you can actually do anything you actually have to win

Good.. then watch your country turn into Cuba. Good luck with all that.
If you’re this dense and you think most of the country is dumber than you, you should probably just slit your wrists.

A lot of younger voters are going to be first time voters this next election.
And they HATE Biden - What's your point?
If the average American who has never watched Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, NewsMax, read a Newspaper, and have had their head in the sand for their entire life still cannot see the shite going on in this country whether it's from having to buy expensive food, scared to pump gas at night, has been a victim of crime, etc. then they can have the new Socialist America.
I would think that no matter how out of touch they are.. how dumb they are, how stupid they are, they should have the ability to see that their personal lives are not very good at the moment.
They can either do three things - 1) Vote for the same Biden 2) Vote for Trump or 3) do nothing.
I think there are so many people struggling so much these days that they will do whatever is necessary for a change.
Not a stupid fricking racist Obama change like he did in his campaign. But a real AMERICA change.
This will be an election that no one on this message board has ever witnessed.
There are 10 MILLION illegal people walking across our border. There are zombies everywhere in every city in the country. People are scared to pump gas at night, people are struggling to put food on their family's table. Not to mention there are major wars now going on with nuclear capabilities in the world AND it's not IF, it's when some dumb shite happens on our soil.
I get that you like Trump - That's great man. This isn't about Trump or Biden. It's a decision about having an America we all grew up in and loved vs. becoming Cuba/Venezuela America.
I don't care how out of touch a person is... it's not hard for them to see that fricking zombies were not walking around their neighborhoods 4-5 years ago like they are walking around now.
It's one thing to frick with people's money - it's a whole nother' thing to frick with people's safety and wellbeing - especially if they have kids and grandkids. - this alone will get people to come out and vote for change.

Yeah young voters are very impressionable from the media and celebrities. They will believe whatever they are told and will gravitate to whoever is giving away the free money (typically democrats).

This is so emblematic of why it’s so damn frustrating trying to talk to you people.
You are so dumb that you actually believe that the people in this thread saying Trump would do better to talk policy are offended by “mean tweets”.
fricking childish morons.

Mostly true but millennials and gen z hate Trump almost at a personal level. They dislike Biden but hate Trump.

Trump is a lot closer policy wise than a Dem will be.
Clearly, it won’t be policy that keeps so many from voting for him.
