I doubt this, I work with a few Cubans and everyone of them hate Obama. Is it because he is democrat or black?

How old are they? Older Cubans trend very conservative.

Toddy...I watched a video the other day (posted here), and even let my wife watch it. It showed a Mexican drug gang with terrorist head covering...and abusing four women (topless, hands tied behind) kneeling in front. They brutally interrogated them...and then just non chalantly CUT THEIR THROATS. And then...nonchalantly...axed/machetied off their heads, legs and arms and threw them in a tidy pile just like I do firewood.

Do you have a DOOR on your dibs? Do you leave it open? There are people coming across that border who would do the SAME thing to you.

Diversity and inclusion is no better than the character of those whom you choose to let into your circle.

"Too late". I suspect that we've passed the 'too late' point. You ought to read history, if you care to predict the future. The Freedom that we've enjoyed here is based on a PARTICULAR set of Principles, and is a historical anomaly.

Good luck.

Honestly, the Republicans are really fricking themselves with the Hispanics. Their values don't align with the democrats, but the Republicans are doing the immigration card and the democrats are playing the "we love the poor" card. That's the only reason why they're there instead of the Republican side. The Republicans need to stop the bull shite and embrace the Hispanic community if they are to survive.

Dimmerats/Libs have won the minds of the post World War II generations by controlling public education and for the most part the media via Follywood/Broadcast TV/music/news etc. Brilliant strategy that has worked to perfection.

Blacks are not as socially conservative as you think. For example, in 2012, the state of Maryland approved of gay marriage easily. The state is also 25% Black. How do you explain that?

You make a good point. I believe a majority of blacks voted against gay marriage, but it was VERY close. The number of blacks who voted for was enough for the referendum to fail. Honestly, I think Obama coming out in support caused a seismic shift on that issue, at least in Maryland. I remember seeing polls that showed an 18 point swing in support among blacks after Obama made his announcement.

Nevertheless, there is still a significant amount of opposition. And the ones that are against it are VERY vocal in their opposition. There was a very large rally in Michigan a few weeks ago by blacks denouncing the federal court decision that struck down that state's gay marriage ban.

The problem with conservatives are obviously their social views. Younger generations are much more socially tolerant and accepting due to growing up in a world of no boundaries with the internet, and are also becoming less religious due to the wealth of information at your fingertips.

Although this has pushed people away from conservatives it has also spawned a big Libertarian movement IMO.

I think we actually agree. I don't believe Hispanics are as anti republican as the Democrats want everyone to believe.

Thanks for the reply.

It may be only one Republican, but it's clear he's making people second guess their devotion to the Democrat party. There are a few more like him in public office and I think that number is only going to grow.

When the message and actions..god knows they need to follow through on their rhetoric...of libertarian/conservatives finally reaches enough people that we are for the supremacy of the "individual" and not "groups", I think the tidal wave to the Republicans will be big. That's probably my rose-colored glasses at work, but I like to think it's a strong possibility.

I post virtually every week about the demographic tidal wave swamping the Republicans on a variety of issues. This article and link backs that up. Although all it takes is to look around you to see the way things are trending. I think Rand Paul is the Hail Mary that conservatives need. If he gets shut out by the Republican establishment it may be all she wrote.

Why Democrats are so confident

I'm confident the democrats are going to successfully frick this country up. In fact, I'd bet on it. I consider it pretty much a forgone conclusion.

The most amusing part will be that when they finally notice how bad they've fricked things up, they'll still blame conservatives when it happens.

shite. I was in Hawaii prior to the first Repub governor and witness the prior governor blame the state education woes on the right. This, despite the right NEVER having had a Gov and NEVER having controlled either house in the legislature(there were only 3 Repub state Senators).

The left will continue to push for and get their policies and when the obviously predictable results happen, they'll throw up their hands and way "what, we didn't cause this".

I think so too, SR. But that just throwing hands in the air and playing blame games would be the cost. It could get really ugly.

But we'll get through it.

. Why, pray tell, are the Asians, without doubt the most economically successful race in this country, trending heavily Democratic?

I always bring up Asians and Jews when the "minorities vote dem bc they want free shite" meme gets paraded on here, and, funny, I never really get replies....

You are right, though, the battle is not about race (that's used to stir up voters), its about entitlements.

Like this post, for example.

Hispanics and Blacks vote democrat because of their economic vulnerability. Jews and Asians vote democrat because they have liberal social views, and believe in extensive state intervention in the economy. So, it is certainly true that Hispanics and blacks think economically while voting democrat.

True statement, but if I were in charge of the Republican Party's PR, I'd almost solely target the Hispanics.

You can do outreach to the Hispanics all you want but you will never get them until you fully embrace amnesty and the problem with that is it basically opens up the border and that is a goddamn disaster waiting to happen when we are handing out welfare and entitlements left and right. Socialism/welfare and open borders don't mix at all.

Under the only circumstances we can have an open border is if there is no welfare state and entitlements are strictly, strictly, controlled and regulated. Socialism and open borders don't mix. I've never understood how we have such a liberal immigration policy compared to the rest of the world.

Most of Europe is socialistic and they understand that they cannot have open borders as it does not mix at all with their collectivist way of life and philosophy. To attempt to do so is to destroy your country via financial ruin and shortages of all kinds.

I don't have a problem with open borders if we don't have a welfare state. I have a problem with open borders if we have a welfare state.
