Gemini already told me that before I made the topic. You said Trump increased the fee to $100k. I am challenging that. Please educate me on that piece of information that I am alleging is bullshite. I know he floated the idea, but he did not do that.

I'm not blowing off steam. I've been vocal here for years on this issue. I haven't gone ballistic on it yet because I had faith Trump would do something, he has stated it is an issue. Elon disagreed with him. That sucked. But Elon is out now, and I want answers. Why hasn't anything been done to address this? All I can figure is we told India to stop buying oil from Russia or we end H1B and India complied. So we have to wait for peace in Ukraine before we can fix H1B? That's fricked up.
This isn’t rocket science, it’s because major companies led by billionaires who love H1Bs will donate bigly to democrats if Trump got rid of H1Bs.
If democrats got rid of them they’d donate to republicans. All about the money at the end of the day.

I'm alright with the 85k, but I want to see rigorous litmus testing on all applications, both new and renewals.
Rigorous? You know we're talking about the federal government, right?
You will never get anything but what we've had and it's silly to consider it could be changed. You're either for hoards of H1-Bs, thousands more than caps, overstaying visas, etc, or you're for shutting the whole program down. Permanent Washington gives us those options. Nothing in between.

So he can’t do what you are asking.
OK, you got me!
Let me rephrase the question.
Why hasn't Trump done anything about the H1B problem?
Oh wait... it's still the same question.

It was signed in September of last year.
Trump is the only president that’s actually done anything on these visas.
Clinton and W expanded it.

So essentially you don’t know jack shite. Educate yourself.

frick India. Their citizens abuse both H-1Bs and F1s. They flood our universities and take up all of the slots for medical schools, making it harder for real Americans to get into medical school

Trump is the only president to do anything to limit the visas since being signed into law under Bush.

It's not good for India either, to have all their best and brightest in the US or elsewhere, instead of helping make their own shithole country better by staying there.

So it's held up in legal battles, as you said (I have not verified) so the new H1B's are still coming in without the $100k fee? Why can't Trump stop those pending the litigation over the new fee?

India has already complained about all the h1b candidates being stuck in India. Trump pushed back all h1b appointments by about a year.
He is doing something. Why won't you people accept it instead of complaining about the same thing over and over?
Trump has limited the h1b arrivals through an administrative process because every legal outlet gets stopped by activist judges, but you just want to complain because the president hasn't completely eliminated the program that was established by congress.
Even when Trump is doing good, you bitch that it's never enough. Conservatives are insufferable.
