Because Russia and China would crush them, their families, their towns, everything. shite, the Russians gassed their own people to get the Chechens.

No, we really believe that generally freer markets and the diffusion of political power within a system will produce the best results for a people, a region, the world, and (therefore) us. I buy it. And I'm a pretty unromantic person. We just suck at executing a coherent foreign policy.

Yeah, if Russia and China had staged 250,000 troops in Iraq and worthless fricking Afghanistan over the past 11 years, the shite would be totally copasetic by now.

All I'm saying is that we WILL NOT make a move unless it is in OUR or Israel's best interest. Im sorry that I have to keep mentioning Israel, but we are the same country. There is no separation politically so it would be stupid not to mention them.
And we would not be interested in helping any kind of market that did not include us or Israel in some way.

Who knows what BO's ever thinking? But I do believe that any foreign country that decides to take "the lead" in the Middle East has a good chance of eventually asking themselves the question, "wtf were we thinking?".

Well I see we've identified the problem. Israel almost never does what we ask when we ask. And though they have enormous influence in our foreign policy, if we were "one," we would have been bombing Bushehr, Tehran, and Damascus while I was still at NAVCENT.

I don't miss the 60 hr weeks (10% terror, 60% boredom, 30% bullshite) or the heat either. DC feels cool at 90 degrees.
