I don't buy it for a second and I'm very disappointed that Trump made the correction. I think the US intelligence community stinks to high heaven and I don't trust anything they say.

It was obviously a mistake since President Trump has said on numerous previous occasions he accepts the IC conclusion that the Russians meddled in the 2016 election.
So it only makes sense that President Trump simply misspoke and when he realized what he did, he corrected and clarified what he actually meant to say.
Right from the start President Trump knew Putin would vehemently assert that the Russian government didn't meddle in the election and that it must have been some rogue Russians who did it..
President Trump knew that so he played Putin into having to agree to have an investigation of the 12 Russians recently indicted and even got Putin to agree to let Mueller and his team be present while the 12 Russians were interrogated.
Mueller should be jumping on the chance to be there when the 12 Russians are interrogated by Russian authorities.
I'll bet he doesn't accept the offer and he makes up a BS excuse why he won't.
