Running low on missile inventory. Ha. Predictable.

I feel like this should be too little, too late. This comes off more as a stall tactic than anything else. No doubt the Iranians will ask us to tell Israel to stand down while we negotiate with them, all the while they will improve the time by rebuilding their nuclear facilities.

I do not trust this one bit. Then again I wasn't born yesterday.

Isreal should press forward. You don’t sustain this kind of damage to risk it again.

Yeah. But perhaps that's preferable.

For decades think tanks and conventional beltway wisdom has been that we'd just need a spark for the silent majority in Iran to rise up and wrestle back Persia, etc.

This is still a dominant line of thinking for hawks, probably will continue to be. When Israel took their big shots and the US didn't pledge to go along in earnest (despite obvious coordination), I think the absence of any known groundswell in Iran yet again disappointed the expert class and has everyone rethinking how committed they are to seeing this all the way through.

Iran will take an offramp to save the regime for a few more years and Israel and the US will accept the can kick, IMO.

My guess is Israel has a 2 or 3 week comprehensive plan and that is what they are going to follow.

Israel is constantly targeting both launchers and ballistic missile stock piles along with their continued assaults on military targets. If you look at the number of missiles launched per wave, they are steadily trending down. That first response had waves of around 100 at a time, now that number is cut in half.

What I find more interesting is that the proposed carrot to get back to the table is a willingness to reengage in discussions about limiting their nuclear program, not a single that they will be willing to close their nuclear weapons program.

Trump said to Iran, you have 60 days to come up with and agree to a peace plan, on the 61st day bombing started again. There are 3 certainties in life, death, taxes, and Iran lies.

I know I have seen Tel Aviv videos ad naseum, but really no Iran inbound bomb / missile videos. Maybe I didn't look hard enough.

I assumed once Israel mapped and then eliminated their missile batteries, Iran was getting bombed into the stone age.

Was I right?

Iranian state TV just got bombed on air a minute ago

I think the reality is that Israel is targeting a lot of places that Iran probably wouldn't allow media to show in non-war conditions, much less potentially now in a destroyed state. Meanwhile, Iran is just lobbing missiles into residential areas covered up with cell phone cameras.

That’s like them jumping your little brother when he’s alone then saying they don’t want any beef with you.

How could you not after seeing how easily they could have stopped Oct 7?

Same with 9/11 here. How much more does it take for people to realize these MICs are fine with whatever it takes to feed the machine. They'll allow anything if they feel it is necessary.

No talks are necessary. They just need to announce a complete end to their programs.

But what they really want is for the bombing to end so they can get back to work on them.

Their people need to rise up and remove the mullahs. Ending them is the only solution.

And I do not want us involved.

There's nothing to "restart". From day 1, they know exactly what they have to do!

Blow up your enrichment facilities and agree to immediately being invaded/bombed if you even try to rebuild or start any enrichment activities
