Yes, institutional and ingrained racism and Jim Crow was worse than what we have today. The 50s were great if you were a straight white man who did what society wanted. Weren’t so great if you were anything else.
I’m not even saying we don’t have our societal ills today. All I’m saying is those that lionize the past “as when America was great” are usually white dudes who don’t like the more open and tolerant society we have today and in DOJ g so, they overlook some of the inequities that were present then.
But that’s just like my opinion, man, and I’m not gonna go back and forth all night.
I’m gonna go play with my white daughter born in wedlock to my smoking hot wife in our nuclear family.

I guese this country was founded by Mexico, Asia and Africa? The history books i read and studied must of been wrong. Traditions, values and integrity might be missing somewhere? I don't know. Fatherless households might be a issue?
