A bit odd but there's a lot of Dempsey to Sunderland talk. Could be his agent's way of getting somebody else to make a move, or it could just be nonsense. The whole situation's just a mess, just get it over with whatever happens, and maybe Fulham can keep Dembele (unlikely but whatever).

I guess it could be that Sunderland's simply making inquiries. This Dempsey situation is disappointing. I would have loved to see him simply stay at Fulham.

Yeah very disappointing. Dempsey doesn't get much blame around here, but clearly he could have handled it better. Fulham probably could have handled it better too, the whole "he's on strike" thing was a carefully orchestrated PR move with Jol being asked questions by the clubs PR director, and then days later they backed away from it a bit. Still, Clint obviously wants to move, and if he moves to Sunderland (no offense Sunderland) its pretty clear the situation has broken down beyond repair. I doubt they can offer him that much more money.

Reports coming out that Cavani has signed a new deal with Napoli and is going nowhere.

Agreed this whole thing is making Clint look real bad. He has backed himself into a corner with all this Champions League talk. That is not gonna happen at least with any team in England. Team Deuce might have over valued themselves a little. His only hope now is Liverpool saves him, at least he can use the Liverpool is such a big club, history, the kop,etc.. line to somewhat save face.

Seems he cant go back to Fulham now the damage is done (to be fair to Sunderland if they add Dawson also the will be a top 10 side and better than Fulham)

I hate to say it, but Dempsey's best move right now would be Milan, in my opinion. They need a striker/someone who can put the ball in the back of the net, and I think he could play the part. Plus, it's CL ball.

In my dream world Arsenal swoops him up at the transfer deadline, but it's really a pipe dream.

Other tiny news from ESPN:Essien may be on his way to Fenerbache and Liverpool has been told that if they want Sturridge it will cost them 25 million.

Randy. You said Essien's international play is what ended up bringing you to the Blues. how will you cope?

It's been a few years coming now so I have had time to prepare but it will still be tough to see him go when that time comes. Luckily he still had enough good years in him after I started following him/Chelsea for the roots to grow deeper than just my love for the Bison thus my blood will remain Blue as ever.
