Stevan Jovetic's agent is in London, reportedly discussing a transfer with Arsenal.

Fiorentina have said it would take about £23m or more to get him away. They don't want to part ways. Might just be too rich for the Gooners if Fiorentina don't come off their asking price.

Stevan Jovetic's

Juventus rumored to be moving in, wonder if this is just to lower Arsenal's asking price of RVP's or are they conceding because of his high wages

Here's the story on Jovetic:

quote:

16.30 BST: Here are the quotes from Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade on the fee for Stevan Jovetic: "We have always said that we do not want to sell him. However, we have an agreement with the player that we will consider offers above a certain figure," Prade said. "We will only sit down and discuss offers above €30m [£23.7m]. He has the potential to become a top player like [Roma's Francesco] Totti. We have not yet received any offers for Stevan, though."

15.40 BST Stoke City are closing on a £1.7 million deal for Houston Dynamo defender Geoff Cameron, reports the Daily Mail

Hope this goes through soon. He still has to go thorough the work permit process, and most likely and appeal. With teams starting preseason I think the earlier he gets over there and starts to adjust the better.

Wolfgang Holzhäuser, president of Bayer Leverkusen, and his new signing, Dani Carvajal (Herr Rudi Völler on the left)

Mourinho made the recommendation of signing him to Wolfie.

We'll see. There have been reports now that Carroll is determined to earn a starting spot for LFC, and is meeting with Rodgers.

I think that's pretty fair. As long as he's heathy he's probably better than a lot of players that have gone to the biggest clubs with that sort of price tag.

That he seems to be very much onboard with staying at Fiorentina, especially in the attacking 4-3-3 Montella will likely run, means it would be stupid to sell him unless they have a windfall to spend upgrading.

Prade, however, seems to be as much interested in "helping out" the bigger clubs like Juve as running his own so I wouldn't be shocked to seem them get a deal that screws Fiorentina by taking in some overpriced/underperforming veterans in exchange.

Jovetic was always a left winger/second striker type, but it seems he started playing in the middle, as a CF, last year. Do you think that is where he ends up and grows into?

It will be interesting to see if he moves to a big club as I really don't know. Also, interesting to see how Montella uses him if he stays at Fiorentina.

He was so dangerous no matter wherever he played we he had freedom to move around. He actually reminded me of a younger Totti where even in the center forward position his best play was often picking out perfect passes in transition and playing great through balls. Also, he's world class in getting off accurate shots from anywhere around the box even when he's obviously the focus of the defense.
