Spanish papers say Higuiain, for 45M Euros, is in Man City's sights as their plan B, if RvP isn't signed.

This is me slapping my forehead in dismay.

Málaga CF is officially going down.

Cazorla, Isco, Rondón, Toulalan, are indeed all available.

Pellegrini was told by the club that they may not be able to pay his salary. He promptly met in the dressing room with the players he does have on hand, and told them that he's leaving.

Isco

Wish we'd go after him... he's in that Silva mold... In BR's system he can play on the wing, but would be better suited for the more attacking role in a 3 man midfield...

This whole saga is just so strange. I feel bad for Malaga fans (especially those, like I would have been, that prayed not to have a sheik buy my team as his little toy in the first place).

Is it that the Sheik is just completely non-responsive at this point?

The downtick in oil prices fricked him up. What happens to PSG, Chelsea and Man City? FFP is real folks.

We seem ready to complete the deal with Cazorla. I wouldn't mind going in after Isco also.

tl;dr

Sounds like a thousand points of light though.

So, are they going to purchase and stockpile buses now, pre pay leases and take staggered late deliveries, or what?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Guys like Florent Malouda and Michael Essien may not be what they used to, be they don't count against Chelsea at all as far as FFP is concerned. Brilliant.

Except for the fact that they both..blow. Why continue to waste wage $$ when it isn't necessary?

quote:

Step 2: Target players with resale value as our major purchases

I'm sure spending 50M on a player leaves a lot of room for resale, lol.

quote:

If they aren't Chelsea caliber or are demanding too much in wages down the road, we can always sell them later on.

Roman chases everything that has 2 legs and a brain. Too much in wages? When has that ever been a problem?

quote:

Step 3: Buy low when the opportunity presents itself

quote:

it's good business to buy low as opposed to targeting the Papiss Cisse's of the world that are at their peak value.

Funny he mentions an actual good piece of business. 8M for a player in his prime? Doesn't that fit into his "buy low" plan? Oh but wait, Cisse scored more goals in 14 appearances than Torres has in 46...times 2! Terrible, terrible business.

quote:

Step 4: Spend big. Spend really big. Buy future superstars. Do it right now.

How many times is he going to contradict himself?

quote:

If a top youngster is available and doesn't fill a hole? Buy him anyway! Why?

WHY NOT!!!! THIS WILL SURELY BEAT FFP!!

quote:

They'll also develop more with extra playing time. Kevin De Bruyne may be a marginal upgrade to Florent Malouda on our bench this season, but he'll likely gain more long term value by going out on loan and starting.

Anyone is better than Malouda at this point

quote:

If other fantastic academies come calling, take on the player's 27 year old brother as a 19th choice keeper or sign up his slightly less talented older brothers to appease the family. What you'll pay them and pay for development fees are tiny little drops in the bucket compared to the value of developing a single world class player. If players don't develop as we want, we really don't lose any significant money on them anyway. If we loan 20 players out, that's 20 more potential spots for youngsters in the U21 and U18 ranks. Fill them.

I literally think he lit a blunt at this point

quote:

Victor Moses fits multiple steps in my blueprint, so snap him up.

Except for the point about not buying "Chelsea caliber." But oh wait, he also said to buy youngsters who don't even have a spot. Brilliant!

Too crappy; didn't read.

EDIT: I guess I shouldn't look for grammatical and logical competence in a Chelsea blog entitled "We Ain't Got No History". I'm not a pro at the writing game, but dang, son.

But the scariest part about that article isn't the author's words. It's the inbred southwest Londoners who actually think that guy knows what he is talking about. Reading the comments is rather scary and really shows why the UK has such twisted journalists. They believe the shite that guy said!

quote:

Its because of knowledgeable people like u & inspiring pieces like this, that I hope to leave Law practice in about 5years & make the move into football writing & maybe take a coaching course. Great stuff.

Inspiring piece? They literally must not know the English language! Sun Tzu, Deepak Chopra, Harper Lee and Dostoyevsky wrote inspiring pieces. Anne Frank, Helen Keller, Gandhi and Hemingway wrote inspiring pieces! Not Stephen Schmidt, contributor for "We Ain't Got No History"

ETA And yes, my last 2 posts are TL;DR

Shoot, I should just drop out of school and move to England, where I will become a homer writer for United. Then no one will care that I have only one year of journalism school under my belt! I'll write what they want to read!

I will be an inspiration to all of Manchester!
