Roma will get a GK but it's really a mystery who it will be. We've been rumored to be in talks with Cech, Casillas, Begovic, Perin, Romero, Handinovic, Matthew Ryan and Mandanda in just the last month.

Sabatini, Roma's DS, seems to keep a lot of targets a bit more secret than most clubs.

Over half of the better players he's signed the past few years were hardly ever mentioned and all the press were focused on other names as almost "done deals" until only a couple of days before the official announcement: Casemiro instead of Strootman, Clasie instead of Pjanic, Ricky Alvarez instead of Lamela, Lovren instead of Benatia, Chiriches instead of Manolas, etc etc. . .

So far, Roma has cashed in a lot of younger players that were co-owned or probably not going to be starters to the point that we're about €60m in the black so far. Add the €30-40 or so the club was likely planning to invest and I think there's going to be a few big buys.

Roma will buy a striker but I expect that it will be none of the players being hotly linked to Roma in the press like Bacca or Dzeko but one that's somewhat of a surprise, maybe one claiming to be staying at his current club right now.

Also, I expect a "splash" LB as well as GK (we've been linked to Digne and Darmian so I expect an offer will be made for Baba or Kurzawa). I'm thinking Roma also goes for a top notch winger as well in addition to a few depth players.

No posts about Schneiderlin to ManU?

Thought he was in the bag for Arsenal. Not as needed as pre-Coq but Arsenal still need to buy someone there unless Chambers is developing there. And I think he's all CB.

Atletico Madrid have now entered the race to sign Manchester City centre-back Karim Rekik this summer, say La Provence.

The Netherlands international, 20, has spent the past two seasons on loan at PSV Eindhoven.

looks like another one bites the dust

Monaco will ask for three Chelsea players on loan as part of the deal that will see striker Radamel Falcao join the Blues this summer, according to reports in L'Equipe.

And the French sports daily says the youngsters the Ligue 1 club want in the Principality next season are Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Nathan Ake and Andreas Christensen.

Southampton holding midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin is on the verge of joining Manchester United on a four-year contract, reports L'Equipe.

Reading signs Orlando Sa. This means Pogrebnyak is likely out. How he managed to play for Zenit and in the Premier League and Bundesliga is a mystery. Dude is a total stiff.

I think this is more likely to come to fruition than the previous Jackson Martinez reports.

Milan is seemingly paying Roma around €18m for Bertolacci and not their recently obligatory "loan with option" deal so they are already burning through their stash.

I trust that Inter will spend their money more wisely though.

I tend to see Bacca as a risk since he's turning 30 unless a club really has a lot to spend.

Raiola is shopping Lukaku hard to every bigger club in Serie A that needs a striker.

Vidal to Arsenal makes zero sense. Especially on a 5 year deal. He plays a position Arsenal don't need, and a 5 year deal would put him at 33 when his contract runs out. Only way i can see this happening is if Cazorla is going back to Spain, which hasn't been mentioned at all

Arsenal needs to get a little tougher if they are to win the league. I'd assume they're going for a bit more of a physical player and red arse who can still play beautiful football.

A player like him, and a keeper, are exactly what Arsenal need. If they can also add a striker they should be the favorites to win the league if this signing and Cech go through.

Well as i was typing i realized it makes sense if he's intended as a Cazorla replacement, either Cazorla leaves this summer or next. It doesn't make sense otherwise to give him a 5 year contract at 28 when you have Ramsey and Wilshere at 23 and 24.

Cazorla´s older than 28 (probably 31). Were he 28 and healthy, I think they´d give him that contract of which you speak.

Seriously, adding Vidal would improve any team whose tactics include using a midfield.
