He pretty much just said "play/do better" in a bunch of different ways.

Really insightful stuff there, Alexi.

Because this whole thread is about being an enforcer so you need to take my statement in context. I dont think people are lauding JJ for his ability to get kicked in the face.

Deuce and Nagbe are the 2 guys that kinda ruin the USMNT's reputation for not milking shite.

Nagbe and Deuce will lay behind the play for like 3 mins and make us play a man down cause they want everyone to see that the ref missed the call or whatever. Its a terrible look.

I love Deuce but if you are going to walk around making Kanyeface dont blow over in a strong wind.

This has nothing to do with his "toughness". In fact, watching him play with a busted face only solidifies the unnecessary nature of his euro-bullshite.

He's laughing because kilo has said the same thing after every USMNT match in 2017, win or lose.

Kind of hard to take him seriously

He didn't say anything too crazy, but I'm glad he's calling out these players. They need to be, especially Deuce. The dude needs to quit his cry-baby routine when he doesn't get the ball or get the start.

The team needs to be cohesive and I've yet to really see that, at least consistently.

That's false.

What I have always said was there are much bigger problems than just the manager. It's clear as day.

Well that certainly kills credibility for sure.

Was Jurgen a problem?

Simple answer: yes or no.

When did I say Jurgen didn't have problems and issues?

You don't get to set up a starwman to argue. That's not how it works.

Arena has been erratic with his team sheets as well and that was one of the bigger gripes about Jurgen around here. No one seems to gripe much about it ironically as we sit on the precipice of not qualifying for the WC.

I have never defended the guy just simply point out the hypocrisy.

Maybe some of you should admit that the talent pool and players are far more responsible for what's happened this cycle instead of holding on to all the Landon Donovn snub agnst towards Jurgen.

I don't think anyone has said we don't have problems with our pool.

Do people here not remember how disjointed our midfield was when Jones was playing? We could never maintain possession and we were always exposed defensively. Our record with Jones in the team is actually much worse than our record without him. LINK

Is Arena a problem?

Yes or no?

We can both play this little game.

Arena has had made some team selections that would have had some on this board screaming "wtf Jurgen". In fact, some of the very players that gave some on this board aneurysms. Strangely those very same people have been mostly silent since Jurgen is now gone.

I'm not defending Jurgen at all buy squarely pointing the finger at our pool and established players. I don't think you can throw any reasonable realistic manager candidate into this mess and get different results at this stage.

It wasn't Jurgen and it isn't Arena.

This team is shite this cycle.

So it's not Arenas fault the team looks like shite but when the same team looks like shite earlier in the cycle it's Jurgens fault.

Good stuff....

I think Jurgen was as much a reason that this team is/was floundering as Arena is now...wgich is not really the core problem.

Doesn't matter who manages this squad at this point. They are shite

Bruce hasn't thrown players under the bus like Jurgen did... Team hasn't quit on Bruce like it did on Jurgen.

We're in danger of missing a World Cup because of Jurgen... not Bruce.

We are shite this cycle because of the foundation set by Jurgen, not Bruce.

Congrats on still not being able to say yes or no.

I get what you're saying, but Bruce has been no God send of any kind.

The only thing I liked that Jurgen did compared to Bruce at this point is that Jurgen at least tried to play attractively and it worked more often than it failed.

Bruce's hoof the ball forward has not worked out in any regard as of yet.

Also, both are apparently incompetent at playing players where they are best.

Not saying he has, but he most certainly hasn't been a net negative like Jurgen was this cycle.

I have clearly stated I think Jurgen had problems and issues.

You have a hard on for anyone that disagrees with you and you are clearly not able to separate your emotions from Jurgen snubbing Landon to see the proverbial Forrest in front of your eyes.

I mean, blame Jurgen if it makes you feel better but this team has much deeper problems than just screaming "it's all Jurgen fault" as loud and as often as you can.

For this cycle, it is his fault.
