That turn to draw the foul was sick. Them of course the unnecessary back heel gets intercepted.

His dribbling has really improved. He's earned three fouls just by going past people. I don't really like him on the right.

Agreed. Though he's definitely tucking in more and allowing Richards to operate as a RW pretty much.

Ramsey has looked pretty good in the first half. Best I have seen him play in a while. Hope his progress continues.

I don't know.. I've seen Ramsey give the ball away about 10 times this game so far

Even Giggs has given the ball away plenty. Ramsey hasn't played as well in the second half. He's also playing wide right, and trying to play final balls for scoring chances. He's also not really good at defending, which is why I don't understand why he was wide right for so long. Sinclair has come on, so Ramsey is now central.

Yea he was less sharp is the second half. My biggest criticism of Ramsey is he takes too long on the ball at times. He needs to be quicker with his decision making.

Is anyone else playing in the games? Or just Ramsey?

Trying not to be a Debbie downer, but I was extremely disappointed with his performance out right, every time he'd get the ball from a series of passes around the box he would stop.. Hold the ball for a few seconds and either try to dribble around their left back and fail or try a silly flip over the defender that would just get headed back over his own head

He really did have a decent first half but you bring up a good point. Like I said earlier he does stay on the ball too long. And I still cant see him playing att mid. He is a CM all the way. Whether you want to describe him as a box to box or whatever Ramsey has to play further back like Arteta or Song do for him to be most effective.

So Podolski and Giroud likely aren't going to be ready by the beginning of the season. Wenger talked about how they couldn't play in the preseason and that he would ease them in during the PL season. What. The. frick.
Also, we're scrambling for another friendly because apparently we are not at all prepared. Get ready for another shitty start, y'all.

Bracing for it.

I'm about to go into my 3rd full season of EPL watching and Arsenal fandom. It may because I am still a club soccer toddler, but injuries and missing games still make no sense to me. It could be that I am comparing apples to oranges, but I feel like not being fit for the beginning of a season would be completely unacceptable in most other sports.

Fellow gooners...
Also, why wouldn't Pod and Giroud be ready? That makes no sense.

When I read that this morning I was stunned. Just sat there for about 30 seconds reading that over and over agian. As it stands, I'll take a point at Sunderland right now.

Well, i don't think they've started training yet, and we only have one more friendly on the books, which i guess they won't be ready for. I think it's a fitness thing more than an injury concern. Pretty sure he's just saying they won't be able to start matches until probably early September. This Asia tour has really screwed up our preparations, it seems.

This is what baffles me. How is it possible that either Arsenal or the new signings didn't have a plan to be match fit for the start of the season?

We had them both officially signed prior to the Asian tour right? what the hell.
