i just hate the logic of "we have enough of those type of players" when none of them bar Ozil (and even then, at their peaks, they're very close) are as good as Cesc. the closest recent example i could find was if Houston said they didn't want Dwight Howard because they already had Omer Asik. and Cesc would have taken up 25-30m of 100m we can spend. Arsene has been pretty consistent in saying we're only buying 3, maybe four players. Even if we spent 30-40m on a striker (Benz and Balo are the only two big names we've been linked too and the former is wholly dependent on Suarez. Mandzukic would cost less.) that's 30-40m left to get a RB and a GK. (Sure doesn't seem like AW is in the market for a DM).
we need world class additions. i have little faith in AW obtaining world class additions, particularly at striker. frustrating to me that we're turning down an extremely reasonable price for a world class player who will in all likelihood go to a rival now and give them exactly what they were lacking.

The whole reason Wenger isn't buying cesc is bc of Ramsey. And the reason he hasn't bought an elite striker yet is bc of ole 'Feo. So unless someone comes in with a mega offer, i think those two are safe

Wenger said he wasn't doing anything until after the World Cup. We need depth, we need more talent if we are going to make a run at any major trophy.

yeah, there's something to be said about getting a player in early to adapt. that said, with the WC, they wouldn't be coming in early anyways. hopefully we get shite done in july. that's most important. get them into camp for preseason training.

When he gives a shite he can run a game, but he doesn't make space for himself, which is problematic when we don't have Ramsey, Walcott, and Ozil in the side.
