Diving and overdramatizing injuries does a disservice to the sport

Soccer/Football players are some of the best athletes in all of sports, and they are also some of the toughest (I'd put women's gymnastics and rugby above them), but when players hit the ground and act like they've lost a limb on minor (if not nonexistent) contact, it feeds detractors and critics of the game.

I would like to believe this, but I just can't.
Some players are, but it's a pretty wide spectrum.
My not so obvious vote would probably go to cyclists.

Culture bro, culture.
You want to see change in a sport that America has little influence on when it comes to top players.
Now if you're seeing a local game with kids and this is happening, I would understand being upset about that.

If you are going to make this thread
At least use the proper terminology
It’s called diving in this sport
When you use the word flop in this sport it means a play is a bust

Anyone that rolls around, holds their arm out, and shakes their hand back and forth like it's burned should automatically get booked. No one does that when they are actually hurt.

Full on c*nt bruv
But seriously it’s never referred to a flopping by players, pundits or during match commentary
Even on American tv they say diving

My favorite spot in these matches is when a player accused of taking a dive in the past by others in the league has a legit issue.
Only to be torched by the other team and sometimes picked up off the pitch as if to say your full of shite.

I prefer any player whose "injury" results in a stoppage of play must go off the pitch for 5 minutes and the team will be a man down unless they sub.
Only exception is if it is a called foul that results in a booking.
And SCH is correct. It is diving.

Ive stated before all matches should be reviewed after and dives noted- suspend players for a game
And if “injured”, 5 minutes till u can return if helped off

I hate when someone over exaggerates their injury to guilt the opponent to play the ball out.
