Sources: Euros heading to Fox Sports through 2028
Fox Sports is close to taking the UEFA European Championship rights from ESPN, according to several sources. Nothing has been signed officially yet, but sources expect a deal for U.S. rights to be announced within the next two weeks. ESPN has held these rights since 2008 and has built up the Euros into a jewel event. Deal terms still are being negotiated, but sources say that Fox will have the rights through 2028, which would include Euro 2024 and Euro 2028, in addition to the UEFA Nations League and European qualifiers.

ESPN already has kind of given up on soccer beyond filler for ESPN+ so them losing it is not shocking, but surprising that NBC or CBS/Paramount didn't throw serious money at the Euros.

Am I the only one that likes Fox over ESPN? Can’t stand Twellman.

This is why ESPN >>> Fox. They treat those big events with reverence, it feels like a big deal.
Fox seems like every important event is just another 12pm sunday window for Carolina vs Jacksonville.

Fox can't even be bothered to change the commercial music and football robot during their soccer streams.

Am I crazy, or are both of these still owned by Disney?

No, Fox Sports and Fox News weren't part of the purchase. I believe The Mouse owns Fox Sports Internationally, but couldn't own it here or they would've had to divest ESPN.

If anyone compared the Euro coverage from ESPN to the Copa coverage on Fox, the Copa coverage looked so cheap.
