There used to be a couple of other ladies who posted here but I haven't "seen" them in a while.

Someone needs to send out a search party for mrsmiller.

And now I realize that Pumpkins didn't post during United's title run.

We have gotten too gay, SB.

No, he's fine. And we get Zusi back. I think he should be starting again.

Always sucks when the OP of these threads doesn't update the OP with the final score.

I don't want scores posted anywhere here, to be honest.

How hard is it to find the score?

I googled "usa-panama" and got the result in 7 of the first 8 links.

Things I learned yesterday:

Cameron will definitely make the final roster for the WQ. He's coverage at RB, CB, and CM. May even start one of those spots. He could move around in game as well - i.e. if we have a lead, he moves to CDM and we put on another CB for a more defensive line-up.

Of course, I want to see him do this in more games. And I'm not sure I want him starting next to JJ if Bradley is hurt/yellow card accumulation suspension, etc.

Fabian had his best game on the wing. And he and Beasley seem to be getting better and better as a combo.

Our outside backs are not set. Beasley has been great at moments and beaten terrible in others. Evans has looked ok, but still scares me to death.

Beslar is rock solid.

Omar continues to have one bad mental lapse a game, but otherwise is also solid. Worst part is, he actually checked that guy just before the run at the end. And was then caught flat footed when the ball was played.

Bradley is without a doubt better being the CM in the attacking role. It was just Panama but I've seen it too many times the last five or six years. Can't trust JJ though, so he'll always hang back more when he plays with him.

There was a 15 or so minute stretch yesterday where the US resembled a poor man's version of Germany/Belgium/insert non-England European country/ , albeit against lesser compentition. Our movement, passing (even one touch) was extremely good and really opened up the defense. I have only seen that one other time for that long of a period - Scotland game. Really hoping to see it continue, It was beautiful and fun. There is some confidence brewing in our attacking players.

Tigerstark, I agree. There were flashes last night of this team looking very "European". Great first touch passes and lots of creativity.

I used to scream at the TV during the Arena/Bradley era when, instead of trying to keep possesion, we would just always kick the ball far down the field and hope for the best. That drove me crazy.

I've been touting Besler as a future star since his first start. he's better than Gonzo and our top CB for years to come, no doubt.

Couple of things, last night may have been the best passing performance I've ever seen the US put in(ever). Certainly, the best competitive game under Jurgen's tenure. Cameron was a star, so much so, that I think Jurgen has a really tough decision to make whenever Jones is available.

Bradley excelled at getting forward last night, he was the linch pin in the attacking half. He didn't put in a lot of work around the 18, but he helped retain possession, and was stellar when he did push all the way forward.

Beasley and Evans continue to play well, despite their detractors.

All Around, complete performance, I'm extremely happy for everyone on the US team, and especially happy for Ole' Jurgen. I was smiling ear to ear last night, great game.

Honduras is about to get smacked. TOP. OF. THE. HEX.

I thought Evans was the only weak link yesterday. He got abused quite often.

As for Cameron, I was very pleasantly surprised. At the beginning of the game, I told a friend that I didn't like having him in midfield because he would be a passing liability out there. I was definitely eating crow by the end of the game.

He did have one awful pass early on, but looked so good the rest of the game that one wonders why he doesn't play better at RB.

Anybody else notice JKs reaction to the penalty not given for Jozy?
His angry is funny.

honestly, you're asked to do a lot more in the middle of the field, but for me it's easier than playing outside. More options, you're never asked to do too much.

On the wings(RB and RM) it's very easy to find yourself isolated without any support, you're either asked to beat someone one on one, or just boot it down the field. you need a totally different mindset playing outside, and it's obvious Cameron doesn't have it just yet.

It will be interesting to see what Hughes does with Cameron, fingers crossed that he sees him as a CM, it's becoming obvious that's his best position.
