How dare those shemales go out in public!

How about you ignore them, and watch the damn game. It sounds like you want to be annoyed.

It doesn't totally turn me away but it is definitely another small strike in a league with a few too many for me to totally embrace it the way I'd like to.

uh, it's soccer dude

My EPL team's city is, in general, very anti-conservative. The traditional soccer contingent in the US (spectator) is predominantly young, urban and interested in being "different." Thus, they're batshit liberal by nature.

Best thing we can do is get more dad hat wearing SEC post-frat fans into it. Not only will it become less cringe worthy overall, some of the self-loathing hipsters will decide it's not cool anymore once the normal sports fans become invested.

As for the gay stuff, I don't care if gay people like the same team as I do. I do think it's ridiculous that people going to Atlanta United and USMNT games will wave a rainbow flag rather than a team/country flag, but I generally find it pretty fricking weird to celebrate immutable characteristics. It's not just MLS/soccer.

I'm with you. Who someone fricks doesn't alter my life in any way, but the need to constantly parade it as if to say "look how tolerant we are" is annoying. Go support the team, it's a sporting event not a city council meeting. There are homosexuals and those that empathize with homosexual prejudice at college football games and NFL games and MLB games, they aren't waving a rainbow flag. It's borderline pretentious

You think getting a bunch of Updykes in the stands will make a crowd less cringe worthy?

Do people actually think like this? Do people actually know hipsters? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

I mean, when you deal so much in stereotypes and generalizations, you get threads like this.
