There’s going to be a time where MBS can no longer afford to do this, but after seeing the WWE deals, LIV Golf, and this, I wonder if Saudi Arabia will actually win the 2030 World Cup by offering bribes that made 2018 and 2022 look like an expensed dinner.

You could actually make a better case for Saudi Arabia than Qatar no doubt.
That said, another winter world cup would suck arse

You can almost guarantee it. The FIFA president seems like a real POS. Although it's really no different than lobbyists in DC paying off senators for a vote in their favor.

Qatar’s rules on alcohol and the clothing women can wear make it look like Hedonism in Jamaica compared to Saudi Arabia though.
Either it is completely untenable for anyone besides young single men or the Saudis change the rules so much but risk insane backlash from conservative elements.

Why would he take that when he could be part-owner of a MLS team and make significantly less?

How much of the year is he able to not live in Saudi Arabia?
