Daniel Levy has sacked Mourinho this morning, but apparently it’s not because the team has been shite....

Spion Kop 1906, along with a number of other supporters groups have removed their flags and banners from Anfield this morning.

I heard that’s fake

José Mourinho sacking is not linked to Super League... and he’s never refused to take training today. He’s been fired because of results and no nothing else.

Can anyone confirm or deny that the Super League clubs will remain in their respective in-country leagues?

Meaning would ManU and Arsenal no longer play in EPL after joining SL?

I think when this is all said and done, they will still play in their leagues

To summarize what they are saying on SSN. They are pretty much blaming the American owners for this. Comparing this to our professional model to their model. Saying that high level executives are against the move but the owners don’t care. One guy said that the owners knew they would have backlash but they don’t care; they care first and foremost about their profits. Just thought I’d give the latest news coming out.

That is the current plan - this super league just replaces the champions league for those teams. If successful though, I guess they could eventually fully leave their domestic league though.

thats what the Super League want, but no doubt the endgame is completely leaving all domestic leagues.

domestic comps will be pointless for most of the teams anyway. most teams will know by xmas if they are in a title race or not, after that, theres no reason to put much effort in the matches. or much reason to keep watching, from a fan perspective. domestic league games will be treated like early/mid round cup ties at some point.

Crazy how one sided the opinions are on this. Literally everyone hates it and the networks are not presenting anything to balance the outrage. It’s all histrionics and pearl clutching. “This will ruin soccer. My dreams are crushed. Think of the children!”

Now UEFA says they are banning SL players from World Cup, etc. Seems really strong armed and reactionary as if they are very scared.

I haven’t made up my mind on this but the outspoken critics seem to be powerful people upset because they are losing power so they blame other powerful people of being too focused on power.

Sorry if I don’t want to watch LFC play in a league that literally doesn’t matter.

There’s no point in watching this garbage. I can turn on the NFL if I want to watch a sport with no incentive to do well after the first 5 games.

I still wonder how they did it. It was first cool as hell and made me want to do hoodrat things with my friends.
