My god. Can you explain to me how these "cash cows" subsidize the rest of the league? Before the Sky deal, many of them were barely turning a profit at all. Give me details, some specifics, some numbers, because it appears you don't know anything about the sport.

They wouldn’t be leaving otherwise. Love how you assume they billionaire owners of these clubs are all morons who don’t know anything about soccer or their revenue streams.

Kroenke is a moron, most definitely. Roman and MBZ understand the sport, which is why they spend like they do. But they aren't the cash cows, unfortunately. Most of them had little to do with building the clubs into what they are. Hell, none of them had anything to do with making the PL a profitable enterprise.

And again, you are also certain of your position but don't seem to understand the finances of the sport.

Not surprising. The Glazers/FSG/Kroenke are definitely leading this.

And if it forces your cash cows to seek refuge in a different league then I’d say you have a lousy system.

I am not sure if you understand competition in sports.

Results on the field get rewarded. If you question that then you prove what that post said about you.

Which was a good bit by Perez, if we are honest. Like a binding contract ever stopped that man.

Well I’m assuming that the most valuable clubs in the world are doing what’s in their financial best interest. I’m also assume they are all very sure this move will be more advantageous then where they were.

You seem to be suggesting otherwise. The difference is I understand my limitations and defer to people with greater understanding of their own business.

You can certainly claim that this move is bad for soccer. But to suggesttthat it’s done out of a preponderance of ignorance of the business interests at every single one of the largest and most successful soccer clubs in the world is perhaps the most hubristic thing I’ve ever heard.

Of course. But it’s but one piece of the puzzle.
