I just noticed Brazil voted for Morocco. Did we piss them off or something? They were the only SA country not to.

They were the only American country (not named Cuba) not to.

Probably because we're gonna put on a safer, better, and healthier show than they did and they know it.

Orlando has "the Mouse" it will get a bid. It was a 1994 venue, as well.

Orlando's stadium is much nicer than it was in 1994, as well. But I'd be surprised if they gave a spot to Orlando over Miami since Miami wasn't used in 1994.

Plus Miami should finally have its soccer stadium by then.

Why does that matter?

Brazil is a little bit closer to Morocco than it is to the US. Maybe those losers just picked the closer site.

Looking at that, I'll probably try to get at least 4 cat 3 tickets in 4 different cities. Maybe a semifinal ticket for Atlanta.

Maybe try to hit Boston, Toronto or Montreal, Seattle, maybe Miami.

I doubt it will hold whatever the required amount is to be a World Cup venue. I think it's like 40K.

Had a WC match ever been played on artificial turf? Legitimately have no clue

no and it wont be

Seattle and Atlanta will be forced to replaced the 3G pitch with real grass.

Iran abstained, which was surprising to me.

Iran's had lots of problems with Morocco, which started in earnest when they gave asylum to the exiled Shah. Iran also was recently accused of funding the Polisario Front, and Morocco cut its ties. It's not surprising it abstained from either bid.

So what? It can't be renovated in the next 8 years? Every stadium used in 1994 was renovated and made better prior to June of that year.

And for ticket sales, iIrc, ticket applications came out a year before.
