Absolutely outstanding hire.
The only question, and its a big one - did we wait too long. I say yes, be will have to work hard but its likely too late to win the WC.
I’ll never forgive USMNT for hiring dooshbag twice and probably costing US any chance to win. It takes years to evaluate player combos meaning experimentation with them over games. Not enough games left beforehand.
But he gives us our best chance of anyone else. And he knows a lot of the players.

Was winning the World Cup ever a realistic goal? A 3rd place finish in 2026 would be insane to me and unthinkable. The bar is probably set at a quarterfinals run.

Our fan base is so delusional. Who did you want to hire in January 2023? There is no coach on this planet that turns our team into contenders for actually winning the World Cup, even with an extra year and a half. We are decades away from having the top level talent and depth to do that.
Poch is as big of a name as we could have hoped for. If you are crying about this hire then you’re probably someone who just wants to be miserable all the time.

Semifinals is the minimum expectation for me. I look at South Korea in 2002 as how a home side in the WC should perform.
