Let’s get him on the USMNT and some action.
Gabriel Slonina the guy?

Turner and Slonina should literally be the only two in consideration

Also, Turner is really good and hardly put a foot wrong all tournament.

Lol

Turner was like the only one who looked like they belonged in the knockouts today.

I think he just earned a starting job in a top league somewhere.

Should be moving in one of these next two transfer windows. He was objectively great this tournament with both his distribution and obviously his saves.

He let an unmarked guy stand 15 feet away from him for 10 seconds. Zero communication on the third goal. His positioning on the first goal was arse.

No he didn't. When the ball was where it was before the cross, the GK is not the one pointing out runners at that point.

How so?

If Turner rides the pine the next four years at Arsenal someone will take his spot at the number 1

Sure, but I highly doubt he will be.

This isn't a Steffen Man City (failed) project situation, Turner is actually good.

He looked very average to me. Some good moments, and a couple not-so-good. I'd like to see him get a move, but I don't think it would be based off his world cup performance. Maybe Ramsdale gets injured and he gets some PL starts.

I just don't agree at all.

Great saves aside, he literally triggered the attack on the Pulisic goal against Iran. He was great this tournament.

When? I missed that. Certainly not on the first goal. He was on his ball line exactly where he should have been.

Being only one year into his contract will make it a little more difficult

Meh, a backup GK contract is not hard to move.

It was never a project

He never had a chance

He is but probably won’t be number one at Arsen

I have zero concern about GK for 2026 cycle. Slonina and Turner are both likely starters.

Turner will push Ramsdale for the starting spot at Arsenal. He’s that good. You heard it here first. Also Ramsdale is not immune from injury and makes bonehead errors not infrequently. I think Turner will get games. If he spends another year at Arsenal and doesn’t get more consistent PT then yeah maybe move on, but overall he’s improved massively already since moving there and I’m not too upset about it.
