My guess is Roldan was added at the last minute when they determined Clark wouldn't be ready.

Is Aaron Long still out? Where does he fit in when healthy?

He won't play in 2021 at all as he recovers from the ruptured Achilles. My guess is he will compete strongly for a CB role when he's fully fit based on how well he was playing when he got hurt.

Was really hoping to see Pepi over Zardes. He's been on fire early on for FC Dallas.

He's only started 4 games this year. Gregg said he wants to see the 3 Dallas kids get more regular playing time.

My biggest disappointments are no Green and no Flach, who I think is much better than Yueill. Green apparently was left off due to his clubs promotion to the Bundesliga but Gregg apparently still sees him as a contributor going forward and Green had told him he wanted to play at the GC.

Honest question:
Why no Horvath?

To my understanding he does have a lot of game time with club or country. So does not need as much rest as some. He needs minutes.

Already spent several weeks with the team this summer and is trying to find a new club.

shite reasoning.

Especially so, given

I was thinking he was shopping clubs. But would more minutes looking impressive help. Or don’t play and don’t scree up. Shopping clubs with that epic PK save on buyers minds. Thank you pville

Since he's not at the GC, he can immediately fly to any club, sign, and start training, and be ready to go when the season starts.

Any rumors on where Horvath may be headed?

Outside of "Team X may be interested", no.

In other GK news, Birmingham Legion posted a video of Steffen shotgunning beers during last night's weather delay.

Why is Steffen hanging out in Birmingham? That’s random as hell.

He used to play with Crognale (one of the CBs) in Columbus, and I think they were doing something with some charity/foundation/organization.

Agreed. Kid has been grinding in the Bund2 and improving his game. They know who is at that club and he can afford to miss time for the GC

And these options on the wing are arse

On paper, this group should be solid defensively, but the attack looks a bit shaky. They’re gonna be extremely reliant on Dike to score goals.

Sucks that Clark had to miss at the last minute.
