Can't wait for the day I look at one of these and don't see Zardes or Trapp.

I mean, it's an international date so it's not like they're missing anything.

True but some of them could use a break from the demands of Europe or with MLS playoffs on the brink.
Pulisic carving up Cuba isn't going to impress Lampard to play him more when he could be in London at the training ground getting work in with his club.

Pulisic certainly doesn't need a break.
He's only played in a bullshite League cup match in the last month.

18 year old AM/winger for Philly. Started 24 games this season. Fairly creative. Has taken a starting role from Marco Fabian. Most likely earned the call up after impressing at the last U23 camp.

Its kind of a no win situation for him
Lampard will give two shits about him in these matches, when he would probably want him in England. If he gets hurt in this then he is really fricked.

Did we not invite Dest because we knew he wasn’t accepting?

Not playing in these to avoid injury is not a valid excuse. He can just as easily get injured in training.
Whether Pulisic is playing Cuba or working on the training grounds at Chelsea doesn't matter. The only way he will impress Lampard is by putting together a string of positive matches with Chelsea.

and the only way to get in these matches is showing out in training

But showing out in training with a the U-23 squad while everyone else that matters is on international duty won't accomplish much of anything.

Considering we called in 26, I think some guys will miss one of these games to be with their clubs.

You could argue that getting 2 full games in could help him be sharper at training once he returns.

Canada and Cuba are not going to make him better or sharper
dicing up through a bunch of semi pros who play for Cuba is less competition than a typical Chelsea practice.

We play Canada on the 15th so none of the big names will be returning early we can not afford to lose to the Canadians ehh.
