He was one of the two CBs in Kicker’s team of the week this past week

Walker Zimmerman added to the roster. Not sure if we had a CB get injured or if this is not a replacement add.

Also, the UK amended its redlist that will allow our England-based players to travel to Panama if they are vaccinated.

ETA: Tim Ream is out due to "family reasons"

Assume Miazga gets the call to replace JB.

my XI would be

Steffen

Dest Robinson Richards Robinson

McKennie Adams Musah

Hoppe Pepi Weah

Maybe. Without a replacement we still have 5 CBs on the roster. And Sands could be ahead of Miazga still.

At this point, can we assume Pulisic and Reyna def not getting added?

They probably aren't going to get added at all (outside shot for Reyna) maybe, but if they do get added it won't be until the second or third game.

Love Hoppe, but I don't think he starts just yet and if he does, there is a better chance Gregg plays him in place of Pepi or Weah than he does Aaronson.

I went Miazga because Greg told the Athletic that he was basically the last guy "cut"

He could definitely start over Hoppe or Weah, but he was great as a super sub against Honduras so rolling with that.

From what I’ve seen of Scally he looks to be playing much better than Moore or Bello. Not sure I agree with him being left off.

Scally's time will come. He's 18 and hasn't even been a full professional for a year.

This window is a really good opportunity to build some separation from the pack, so it's important to bring in guys familiar with the system.

Scally very well could be our starting LB in Qatar. Think Yedlin in 2014, dude didn't even make his first USMNT cap until January of that year, and then five months later, he was our main supersub in Brazil.

Still plenty of time for Scally to get his chance.

He was also great as a starter against Canada.

He's shown to be a better winger than Weah and Hoppe.

This why I think arriola and zardes will get decent minutes this window.

That said I might be lowering my expectations for this window. Pulisic Reyna and Brooks all out is a pretty big blow. I’m just not sure we generate enough goals to get 7 points.

Zardes may start a game, because we still don't know who our starting striker is (Pepi, I know, but he's played in just one game... let's try and avoid Juan Agudelo and Aron Johannsson syndrome).

Arriola is 1000% going to play on the road at Panama, but I feel pretty confident that Thursday will see Weah and Aaronson as the starting wingers.

There is a reason those two were called in for Nations League and Arriola wasn't.

Didn't have Reyna or Brooks for the second half against Honduras and only had Pulisic for like 15 minutes.

Even with those guys out, 7 points in this window is the absolute floor. This is the easiest stretch of games we'll ever have. Jamaica and Costa are both on the brink of imploding and we get them at home, Panama despite their 5 points is weak as hell and we have historically had success on the road against them.

Yeah, it sucks that Pulisic, Reyna and Brooks are out, because those are three arguably top 5 players in our pool, but Weah and Aaronson are solid replacements on the wing and McKenzie or Richards are solid replacements at CB.

My question is that if we play McKenzie, Richards or Zimmerman in place of Brooks, who plays on the left and who one the right.

Remember, Robinson played every single minute of the Gold Cup on the left side and McKenzie, Richards and Zimmerman have all shown they can play on either side as well.

Personally, I think there is a very good chance that Robinson slides to the left, with the other three all getting a start for a match.

We're in a good place at CB.

Pulisic and Reyna are blows for sure, but the way Brooks played last window I'm not upset about him missing.
