If Pepi is on roster over Pefok, I will melt
Pepi doesn't deserve to be on the roster at all
That's basically the only decision I'm waiting for at this point rest seems to be mostly settled barring injuries

Is it weird James Sands isn’t considered? Haven’t heard his name in a long time. I’d choose him over Long any day.

Huh?
He's in great form right now and was literally our only #9 with a pulse in qualifying.
I'm not saying he should start all three matches, but he definitely makes a compelling case to be on the roster.

Sorry I didn't realize he was loaned and is now in Eredivisie
Fine he can be considered for roster spot but given timeframe I don't give him a spot purely based on qualifying performance, that might as well have been a decade ago
Glad to see him getting some playing time after his disaster move from FC Dallas

Well if you're going just off of current form, then Pepi and Haji are the top two with Sargent probably ahead of Pefok who hasn't scored a goal in 8 matches since September 18th.
With that said, I think form with the National Team should be factored in to some extent since this is all about deciding who will be playing with the National Team.
Regardless of what we think about #tSystem, we know Gregg is going to be the coach in Qatar, so there are valuable data points to be taken for which 9's have performed best with the USMNT.

Nah. He's been pretty meh for Rangers

Now that's a different conversation

The only thing Sands has going for him is that he can theoretically play the 6 as well.
His passing is better than Long, but that's not saying much, however, Sands' defending is actually worse and he's slower.
Basically, both are mediocre players who shouldn't be sniffing national team minutes, but here we are.

"Expert" status should immediately be removed if you predict a Gregg roster with Brooks on it.

Another "expert" putting Richards in who is not even healthy. If you roll the dice on him then you will need to carry 5 CB's and lose a CM slot which is not a big deal because Reyna and Aaronson can play CM.

If Richards could play any of the games you bring him.
We literally have 1 solid center back in Zimmerman.

I think we have several others but they have basically never played an important game for the USMNT.

Watching Fulham play it’s a fricking travesty if Tim Ream isn’t at least on the plane to Qatar.

He got burned on the first goal, so everyone is gonna point to that, but otherwise he's been solid and can actually pass out of the back which is what Greggggg wants to do.

CCV back in the lineup for Celtic today after missing a pair of matches with a minor injury.
I think he should be the starter with Zimmerman, but what worries me is that Gregg has had these last 2 weeks in Frisco working on the Zimmerman/Long pairing.
frick.

Sam Vines broke his leg so he is out of the WC. Not sure he was going anyway, but one less option at LB now.

PROJECTED USMNT SQUAD FOR 2022 WORLD CUP FROM JOE PRINCE WRIGHT OF NBCSPORTS.
I think he's going to be about right, even though we the fans will disagree about a few choices.
Goalkeepers: Matt Turner, Zack Steffen, Sean Johnson
Defenders: Reggie Cannon, DeAndre Yedlin, Sergino Dest, Walker Zimmerman, Aaron Long, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Erik Palmer-Brown, Chris Richards, Antonee Robinson
Midfielders: Tyler Adams, Weston McKennie, Yunus Musah, Kellyn Acosta, Luca de la Torre
Forwards: Brenden Aaronson, Christian Pulisic, Gio Reyna, Tim Weah, Josh Sargent, Paul Arriola, Jordan Morris, Ricardo Pepi, Jesus Ferreira

Any roster without Scally is a mistake.
Posted on 11/7/22 at 1:31 pm to MetArl15
With Dest dealing with a minor injury, I think he's gonna take 5 fullbacks just in case. So probably one less winger/forward.
I could see Dest, Jedi, Yedlin, Cannon, and Scally.
