There will be a Confederations Cup in 2021. It will be in an Asian country like Japan or Australia in the regular June/July slot.

And the Club World Chanpionship will be held in Qatar in December 2021.

really wasn't pointless when we beat Spain that one time though. Anyone who says that was a pointless win and not exciting is a retard.

The tournament doesn't mean anything

Of course we enjoyed beating a world power

But Germany basically showed no respect for this one and still won it.

I see nothing official on this.

FIFA said they are not adjusting the football calendar two years in a row to play in the winter in Qatar

The whole point of the tournament is a test run for the WC

Are they moving the WC up or back to play it in the winter? If they move it back, I can see them still having the Confed Cup somewhere in the summer of 21.

Maybe, maybe not. The whole point is supposed to be a dry run for the real thing.

FIFA has already said they might not have it.

It was a bad game, an anomaly in this recent stint of his. This is in contrast to Jurgen, with whom a good game was an anomaly.

They've already said that the 2021 Confed Cup will not be in Qatar, instead another Asian country.

The thing that disturbed me most was the halftime commentator blonde lady saying "they did well with 1-2, 1-2 then the long ball." That, coupled with Arena, makes me think we are headed back to old-style US soccer where we got our asses beat on the regs.

Say it ain't so.

as of right now they are not sure

they said in 2015 another Asian country but that has now changed.

so its completely up in the air. Not really bothered qualifying for it or not.

I thought surely our 'B' team was better than Panama, so we are all wrong at times.

And it's not like Panama didn't leave some players from our previous draw behind.

I'm not even sure some of the guys that played would even be our B team. We have better players in our pool that are hurt or in Europe that didn't get called in. Out of the 23 Saturday, only 2 play outside of Liga MX or MLS.
