Yea but the booking at that point in a semifinal is completely worthless.

A yellow in the semis has no impact on anything. Not his fault, if he realizes that it's a smart move. FIFA needs to do something about when cards get cleared

Yeah, the dude is 19. He's allowed to be somewhat immature. To call him the next Neymar bc of 2 incidents is hilarious

So you want a red for what he did?

Which is why he did it.

Card should NEVER accumulate, that is the dumbest rule in the game. Are you advocating for an extended period of accumulation?

Sure it does. You can only pull that move once.

They need to get rid of card accumulation altogether.

I laughed when I saw it. Again a matter of perspective. People have to realize that strange stuff happens whenever the derby is on...

QB kneel at the end of a football game is the same shite. I don't see why people are bent about it here.

Yep. A lot of overreaction in this thread, and among casual fans that I watched with.

You don't hear a lot of these guys complaining about LSU being narrowly ahead with little time remaining and we're just running the ball every single play, waiting the 40 second game clock out, and then punting on 4th down to waste as much time as possible.

Because this never happens to LSU

My son used to do same kinda stuff. He would put on dribbling show and make them come to him before he would pick it up. Goalie. Take yellow card for time wasting on goal kicks by not catching ball on pass, letting it roll out of bounds etc. its childish

That's amateur time wasting tactics for a keeper.

I could take almost 20 seconds off the clock with the ball in my hands and wouldn't get called by the referee

There is no realistic reason why soccer can't go to a clock in 2018.

I don't understand this at all. I'm all for the ref having complete discretion.

You may disagree, but surely you can understand it.

Y'all are acting like France is the only team that would ever pull shite like that off in the semi of the world cup up one goal

Flip the teams and Belgium would be doing the exact same thing

Belgium would give it to Hazard and he would dribble around and no French defender would touch the ball.

He was horrible actor so he gave up and just tried to be funny.

He was getting the shite beat out if him one game, (its Bama) and I could see a concussion coming so I told him next time some one touches you take a fall. This little kid barely touches him, and he pulls a full Neymar. ...

And gets a yellow card. He was that bad.

Of course the mfer didn’t call shite the 10 times that they ran into him, tackled him, or hit him in the head, but again typical Bama ref.

Until someone dies or is put in a wheelchair, goalie is a full contact position. Screw that concussion protocol shite we be Bama

A clock that somehow can count normal time and wasted time, controlled by the ref on the field, displayed in the stadium would be the solution, I think. That way everyone can see the injury time clock, and what and what does not constitute time wasting. There has to be some accountability from someone other than the official with regard to time wasted, because it varies so much from league to league and official to official.

Let the 4th official control it.

Yeah I'm cool with that. The more we move away from referee discretion, the better we would be. There is too much variance with regards to fouls, injury time, and other behavior that it is crazy that FIFA has let this last this long.

It's a strategy to close out a game. If I'm in that situation I'll do it 11 times out of 10 and not give a frick while I move on to the world cup final.
