The insinuation was that Jesse would be given time from the board to work with his Wes and his other new signings to keep Leeds up.

I have a spare bedroom if he needs to use it during camps. whataburgers on me. I’m gonna retcon the last world cup and say with Balogun we beat the dutch at the very least. probably win the whole tournament. and 2026, possibly 2030

I mean, yeah, that sucks for Jesse because in general I think if Leeds cut out just a few individual errors then Leeds would be in a much stronger position in the table. But at the end of the day the board does what a board does… hire and fire coaches. Jesse’s job was to get points, and it wasn’t happening. Not sure I would call any of that shady.

They are only one point above relegation and Everton has played one less game than them. They also have yet to win a match post-World Cup break (not counting the FA Cup).

Jesse had every right to be fired.

Perhaps it was insinuated to Wes that Jesse would have more time.

I'm sure it was. I'm also sure that is insinuated with pretty much every new transfer going to a team fighting off relegation.

Had no idea Dest was removed from Milan's UCL roster until just now.

Dude needs to play for a club in a working class town, because these destination cities clearly aren't helping him. Was hoping his great play in Qatar would've triggered another move.

ONE TO WATCH 18-year-old NYC-born Malick Sanogo on the bench for Union Berlin in the Europa League. The striker moved to Germany at the age of one, but has represented the US at the U-20 level. Today would be his first senior team appearance.

Very real possibility that Leeds gets relegated. Thankfully McKennie is on loan and Adams likely would be able to trigger a move to stay in the EPL, but Aaronson may find his scrawny build getting murdered in the championship next season.

Zero chance he’ll play in the championship imo

Probably loan to buy somewhere

Dan James on the other hand will probably be back

Weahwatch:

Playing against PSG, starting at LWB again. Lilie clearly has the game plan of going through Weah on the left side, where he receives it with heals on the sideline, then drives forward. His goal is to connect with J David (good chemistry) by either getting behind the defense to the touch line with a cross, or turns inside. Either way it’s disruptive and works. They prefer going through Weah so much, Lilie almost looks uncomfortable if they can’t. Only problem can be that on a counterattack, Weah is late to get back, and PSG exposes this.

ETA 67’ Lille brings on a sub and moves Weah over to RWB tasked to cover Mbappe. Lille has climbed back from 2 down to lead 3-2.

ETA Weah not as comfortable at RWB, got caught in a give and go in the box, and Mbappe tied it up.

It’s frustrating that he can’t keep regular minutes at his preferred position. Would be nice if he got a move in the summer.

Reyna not starting. One of Dortmund’s wingers got injured and the younger English kid was put on instead.

Aaronson getting some minutes with the u21s

Could see him back in the starting lineup soon.

Scored for the U21s

Looked like a pretty solid goal
