Not to take credit away but it sure does help when you're managing a team like real.

Sure, but he's done things that other RM managers haven't been able to do. I mean, this was the first double in Real history, and it was his first full season.

As SFP wrote yesterday in the match thread, his teams have won big without having to go full Galactico.

He gets a 10/10, not sure how anyone can say otherwise.

Can he keep it going is the question.

He's a 10 in my book thus far with a shot at 3 more titles this year. And that was their first double in 59 years.

I think you gotta give him credit... He's done outstanding n his short time...

At the same time, I'd be very skeptical of his ability at almost any other club... He may do well, who knows... but his current squad may be one of the most loaded of all time (def since Ive been watching footy)...

He always said selling Makelele was a mistake during his playing days... He understands the importance of a DM and keeps one of those galacticos on the bench for Casemiro... something many others wouldn't do...

Also Casemiro is an excellent player in his own right. Smart passer. I watched him years ago in a friendly against Inter in St. Louis and he didn't miss a pass all night. He was incisive and direct. He is what everyone hopes every Brazilian midfielder is, athletic and technical.

Yeah... His star fell pretty hard at Sao Paulo, after being one of the Neymar generation, next group of stars... I was surprised when he was bought by RM...

I guess it was the motivation he needed to get his career back on track...

More concerning is the lamp shade he's wearing for pants.

Not a dark enough outfit for Zidane

His dark outfits really make his Berberian eyes stand out. Like staring into the soul of a North African Chris Leak.

He'd kill at a club like Sunderland or Hull. On the right trajectory to the big league.

Can't spell "Zheffield Wednesday" without "Zidane."

but who else has had those sorts of results with Real, especially in modern times?

Zidane has managed them well by making the stars buy in, b/c he's fricking Zidane and they listen to him

tactically, he seems fine for a major club. the problem with real is you need a guy like Phil Jackson who can manage the egos

Zidane also has the full support of flo and the board which many managers haven't really had in the past

Was coming to post this. His game and his presence both demand respect. Helps that he's intimidating as hell.
