Our reliability with Cox was pretty good, but AT&T has been just as good or better for less money and faster speeds.
I will say my only issue was their Gateway sucked in my house for wireless. I put it in bypass and went back to my Nest wifi mesh, which I already owned.

ATT fiber over Cox might be the best home tech decision you ever make

Made the switch this morning. It’s 2 times faster than my Cox gigainternet. Also switched from Verizon on cell phones. Went from paying $295 per month to $140 for 5 phones.
I’m running my own mesh network so I am bypassing their wireless device.

you could save a lot more $ by reducing the service speed and you'd never see the difference.

My wife and I both work from home with 2 teenage kids. It’s not really worth it to downgrade for me. Saving $100 a month from the Cox switch is enough to make me happy.

Not enough demand in that exact area and some building would need to raise fees that most would not agree to that is for sure.

I pay about $75/mo. for AT&T1Gb solely internet. AT&T's service was incredible in that about a month ago the local gas company decided to sever the fiber line despite AT&T's paint and flag markings. Was up and running within 2 hours, which includes listing the outage, dispatch and repair. Cox could never match that service. AT&T was definitely worth it for me.

I swapped a couple years ago and have had ZERO outages since going with AT&T. I stream netflix, prime and paramount+, watch local news via app.. I bought an apple Tv box and have my streaming apps run through it..I have my box wired via ethernet to my att gateway. I would never go back to cox
