How is Breckenridge second week of April.

That's the only time we can all get together and go as a family. I've heard there are good deals to be found. Most of the people going have never skied so fresh powder isn't that important.

Will be iffy. Peak 6, 7 or 10 might be closed by then. Spring conditions

We're doing Santa Fe and Angel Fire for my birthday.

We're contemplating Whistler for my wife's Spring Break. We haven't pulled that trigger on that trip yet.

Yeah

Whistler 1/23-1/29 this season. Booking my first heli trip for one day that week as well. I'm fricking pumped!

I'm going to Alyeska for a week this Jan. One of the few real "ski to sea" resorts in the world. High kudos from Nat Geo.

World class downhill, heli, cat skiing and snomachining. Girdwood is a kickass town.

They get such an insane amount of snow compared to us in Colorado. I am in between there and Aleyska for a trip, but leaning toward Whistler

I don't feel great about our snow outlook for the year from what I have been reading

It's so dry here, Breck and Keystone also are now pushing back their opening days indefinitely. They were supposed to be this coming Friday. If you're planning a Dec ski trip, I'd push it back a month or two. Ropes won't be dropping until way later this season.

Follow up to that, NOAA today is calling for a weak La Nina this winter. La Nina is good for the northern half of Colorado ski resorts. When that jet stream storm train lines up directly over CO and we get the great NW flow, it dumps. Let's hope the jet stream moves over CO soon.

Also, the PNW gets nailed in La Nina years as well. Should be a good second half of the season for Whistler, Stevens Pass, Mt. Baker, Mt. Hood, etc.

Headed to Vail the weekend after New Years. Figure it shouldn't be crowded that weekend

My favorite time of the year to ski, between New Year and Presidents Day. No lines and lots of discounts . I rent VRBO a lot and always politely ask for a discount for "off" weeks, usually successful.

Looks like we will put this off for next winter. Can't go until April.

Or wait and see what conditions are like and go last minute.

I keep joking about being in Alaska by age 40. Girdwood looks like an awesome town.

Steamboat has absolutely zero snow right now. We will be lucky to have a few snow made runs open by our opening day on the 23rd.

I'm rocking a Steamboat pass and the full Epic. Planning to ski Vail and Beaver Creek a lot this year besides Steamboat. Hoping for 2-3 Park City trips. And probably a spring trip to see my twin brother in Big Sky.

Can't wait for my first season in the Boat. Getting real restless waiting for winter though.

Unfortunately they were more clever and productive with their want for snow. I've just been holed up in my garage watching ski porn for the last two weeks.

I've come to the conclusion that I'm in love with Angel Collison.
