Headed back to PC for the 5th year in a row on Superbowl Sunday. It's snowed leading up to, during, and after every year I have been. I ain't worried.

Even an Epic Day pass gets you skiing at $100 or so a day depending on when you buy, have to plan ahead or you will be pay for it.

For the money and skiing conditions I am happy to be on the east coast in relative proximity to Catskills/Adirondacks/VT/NH, at a fraction of the cost and much better snow. I realize it won't be like this every year

Just got back from Breck. 3 days straight first to last chair conditions were not good but much better than I expected considering I’d been keeping tabs on the weather and trails/lift statuses through the app. The few really good blues on peak 8&9 were insanely crowded. So much so that I would stop before a big steep and just let the floods of ppl go by before I’d take the hill bc with the icy patches I needed some space and didn’t want to be skiing with a person ten feet away in every direction. If you have plans for breck id try to pivot if you have refundable/flexible flights or accommodations. We made the best of it and still had a fun time. Hope you’re all enjoying the season.

How were the runs off Falcon Superchair (centennial, doublejack, etc)? Those are great but can get real icy too.

PCM up from 55 trails yesterday to 74 today. Thursday, the temps drop big time and next week the conditions look ideal for snow making. Hopeful they can get Quicksilver and Iron Mountain Express open to ski between both sides heading into MLK weekend.

Peak 10 has yet to open this season. Breck had 6" yesterday (thats what she said) and another 4-6 coming Thu/Fri. Colder Temps next week and cold & snowy the week of MLK. Hopefully thats enough to get more terrain open.

I don’t think the falcon was running but I could be mistaken. We were on the peak 8 super connect. Beaver run. Mercury. Colorado super.mostly. I stayed on blues. Maybe did one black diamond but with the icy conditions I didn’t want to press my luck. Peak 7 has some fantastic blues but my crew didn’t want to stay there long bc the first trail we hit over there everyone was busting their asses with the ice.

just got back from breck as well, peak 7 is where you need to be if you want to do some blues, pioneer has one steep slope that was pure ice, but other than that most of it was pretty decent. Some of the blues were feeling more like blacks since they weren't grooming a lot and there were tops of pine trees sticking out all over. I think crescendo was all moguls and rocks/trees.
Getting to peak 9 from 8 was rough due to sawmill being closed and everyone taking crosscut. Kids hated that.
Can't complain too much since they can't control the weather and the skiing was fine all things considered. Did miss the dump yesterday, but heading to Keystone in a month, so hopefully it picks up.

Also we stayed at Beaven Run resort and conf center (breck)through Airbnb and I have to say it was an awesome place . Super convenient to just walk out back and have a chair right there. Lockers , ski rentals , lessons all on site and just a super short walk from the lift . 7-8 hot tubs or so. Had a nice little arcade for me and my youngest with a little indoor putt putt. 3-4 restaurants on site. Groceries . Grab and go sandwiches and pizza. You name it. The only other time I stayed in breck I was at Main Street station and I liked this place much more. Just a heads up if any of you guys are looking at breck for a family trip you really can’t do much better than beaver run.

Another 17 (from 84 to 91) trails opened today from yesterday. Solid snow coming later in the week from the storm that blows in Thursday but then a break in the moisture it appears like but cold weather will help snow making efforts for sure eve after it dries up.
From my understanding, they're expecting another big system at the end of February which should really help Mardi Gras skiers in/around the Wasatch.

Me as well, while I would expect some snow, this i what I got from a meteorologist friend in the area. "we are back in the pattern for the next couple of weeks. The good news is the best part of the is coming up at the end of the month until mid February."

Yesterday was perfect. Good to see the mountain in white again
More new terrain today and tomorrow.
Yeti- I’m down to meet up. I’ll be out there almost everyday Friday riding.

Pattern looking somewhat optimistic for February. La Nina's do tend to be backloaded winters so we will see
