If you search there is a disney topic on here talking about it some.

But i went in September. I have 2 boys 3 and 5. THey both wore their mask prettyy well after NEVER wearing one at home.

My yougnest was 2 3/4 at the time. Halfway through i stopped making him wear mask. We got questions a few times on his age i just told him "he turns 2 next month" and we were on our way.

My wife and i said we wouldnt go back till things are back to normal. But here we are and already have another trip planned in September again. So hopefully by then its more normal.

My kids REALLY missed the character meet and greets and character meals. We missed the meal plan. And hate how much mask jacks up photos.

Be ready to mobile order as much as possible for quick service foods. Lines when we went werent horrible but its for sure different now that there are no fast passes.

If you have nay more specific questions let me know and ill answer best i can

Yeah their "reasoning" is using the fast pass line areas for normal lines now.

One thing that is nice is the 6 foot distancing while waiting in lines. Keeps people from being all over you while in line. But i makes the lines look HUGE. But with no fast passes it helps all rides move a little more consistent. Fast pass groups slow up normal line waits so much since they cut in front.

Went in early November
No fast passes, and no park hoppers

Centralized restaurants and limited menus. Order food through app. You can order from anywhere in the park, they give you a slot when your food will be ready. Head to the restaurant around that time and log back in to say you're there. They will call for you to pick-up. Outside of the limited seating, was very nice & streamlined.

NO LIVE shows. Entire entertainment staff fired, so no live shows. Made AK a waste of time to me due to the younger kids

Lines appeared long, but the wait times were very accurate

Cannot meet characters in person, they do have "viewing areas" where you can get pictures.

Cast members were watching for mask rule breakers, but for the most part were not obnoxious except in Epcot. But, that probably had more to do with the attitudes from the guests. (Yes, most of us hate the masks, but you know the rules going in)

As far as wait times, download the app and check them out now. When I went there were only a few rides that came close to the hour wait. Almost everything was in the 35-40 minute zone.

Took the wife and kiddo a few weeks ago.

Not the Disney we're used to, but it wasn't bad. I thought the lines moved fairly well with no FP+. It was certainly more predictable, anyway. a 35 minute wait meant a 35 minute wait.

We did Disney Springs, MK, EPCOT, and HS. We didn't hop.

Stayed on property at a deluxe DVC site.

Staying masked the whole day kinda sucked, but whatever.

We ate at some Star Wars joint, Brown Derby, various places for the festival that was going on in EPCOT, the restaurant at the top of the Riviera, Chefs de France, a few places in Disney Springs. Service was fine. No real waits.

I would say park crowds were well below the 50th percentile for all the times I've been there, but school was in session so that may have thrown some things off-kilter. In fact, in terms of crowds I'd say it was very pleasant. Pre-CV19 we went during busy weeks, so this was actually a treat.

Overall it was a fine trip. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.

I’m looking at going the week after Easter.....I guess my concern is crowds from spring break without fast passes kind of worried
I already see on the Disney reservation calendar that Disney Hollywood studios isnt available at all

I understand that. We went at two totally different times.

If it's any consolation, I think the parks are cranking down on the volume of guests (hence HS being blacked out already). That may keep crowds a little more in your favor, even without FP+.

I think your party and your needs may play into your favor as well. My wife and I love to drink and eat small bite plates and my kid, though younger, is pretty easy going. So we let that play into our favor a bit. Get drinks and an app at one place in Disney Springs, let them shop while I have another drink under an umbrella, grab more drinks and an app to share from another place, etc.

So maybe parlay that to suit your group.

I failed to mention (but someone else referenced it), castmember interaction is way down. We went on the Star Wars Rise of the Resistance ride/show pre-CV19 and it was pretty incredible. Tons of castmembers, lots of interaction (I won't spoil it, but they roleplay as various characters). This most recent time it was very subdued. Maybe that's because they had to pare things down and the guys and girls that made it what it was were gone, or maybe it was still *new* when we did it the first time and now the shine has worn off...I don't know. But comparing the two, it was noticeable. It was still fun, but there was a missing POP from the castmembers that really sold it.

Only got hassled for not masking once while sitting, alone, under an umbrella in Disney Springs. I had a bottle of water with me so I took some long, slow sips and that was that.

There were actual lines to get into some of the shopping areas in the parks. Like an hour wait to get into the Star Wars bazaar shopping thing. I couldn't imagine wanting a souvenir that badly, but maybe some folks don't get to go that often and it means a lot to them so whatever.

In short, you can probably still have a great time if you work around the needs and wants of your party. We did, and had a great trip.

Yeah they aren’t. My bad I’m a Disney rookie. We had the Universal express pass and I thought that was the same thing.

Friend,

I went a few weeks ago. I viewed it as work, hoping to create an updated guide for my friends on TD. I hope you will enjoy and find useful TulaneLSU’s Top 10 tips and attractions at Disney World.

We’re going in August - not the best time to go but we didn’t have a choice.

You have to buy park passes, as usual, and you can buy park hopper passes. You must make a reservation at a specific park for each day. I think attendance is capped at 35%. Once you visit your designated park, you can hop starting at 2:00pm if the other park has capacity. Call (407) 560-5000 for a message about which parks have capacity. Some people say they’ve been able to hit all 4 parks in one day!

The only thing like a Fastpass is getting a Boarding Group pass for Rise of the Resistance. You try to sign up through the Disney app at 7:00am on the dot. There’s another round at 2:00pm (maybe 1:00pm) but the 7:00 one is your best shot. Supposedly, reservations sell out in seconds. Go watch YouTube videos for tips on getting a boarding group. It’s such a big deal, I’m going with the recommendation to make reservations at Hollywood Studio for more than one day to increase your chances. One good thing is that you can try to get a pass anywhere with an internet connection; there’s no need to be at the park.

There are no extra magic hours but people who are staying at a Disney resort get in 30 minutes early. All dining reservations open up 60 days before your first date and everyone has to remote order at the walk up places.

What did I miss? Keep in mind that a lot will change and I wouldn’t be surprised if most of the info I gave you is out of date by the time I go in August.

I’m wondering if park hopper is worth it if it doesn’t start till 2pm and lot of the parks seem to close at 6 or 7pm
The dilemma I’m looking at is we are going the Easter Sunday through Friday if I confirm reservation tomorrow. Looking at the advance reservation. Calendar it looks like Hollywood studios is only available on Easter Sunday the 4th
I’m only going to be there for a few days, the wife and the kids will be there until Friday
So I’m thinking of getting an extra day ticket instead of park hopper option
Ive been to Disney 4-5 times in the last 10 years but this just seems totally different navigating this time around, especially without fast passes
Thanks for the advice. Keep it coming if you think of anything

Just got back. Get to the parks :45 to :30 minutes early as they are opening early even with no advertised early hours or magic hours. Get to your must do heavy wait rides first. Avatar at AK, slinky dog, RRC and tower at HS, frozen and test track at Epcot, etc. we did slinky in 5 minutes and toy story mania in 5. While fast passes are gone you can ensure you get on quickly.

Masks are what they are. Been covered here pretty good.

Buses from the on site resort I was at were more inefficient than normal. That has to do with reduced capacity and I assume less buses. Between that and magical express going away in 2022 I’m not sure it will be worth staying in Disney property for us going forward.

Overall I liked the reduced capacity and think I’d take that over fast passes all day. Line queues were lower for the biggest rides over normal operating conditions.

Universal had the same policy for masks.

I got hoppers for a couple of reasons. Like the previous poster said, the lines for even the best rides are short early on and you can knock out a bunch (maybe all) of the good rides before lunch (Animal Kingdom?) and then what? I also got them so I can be more flexible with meal planning.

We are only going to have 3 park days so I wanted the flexibility. There’s no right or wrong decision and keep in mind that Disney can change the rules at any time and what looks like a good choice now can make you a hero or a zero in the future

Yeah, that's a real pisser. I'm sure those savings won't be passed along to the consumer, either.

Does MCO allow Uber and Lyft to pick up from the terminal?

We're going in 3 weeks. They keep changing the reservation calendar availability.

Hollywood Studios starting showing reservation capacity back in January for the week we're going in March. The calendar now shows HS available every day that week.
