Looking to take a family vacation in December but out of 8 friends who have gone on vacation in the last 6 months, *SIX* of them ended up having issues with a random positive test, getting locked down in their room, delayed from coming back to the US, etc.

Sounds like complete and utter shite so I'm reluctant to travel if this bullshite is still going on.

I was looking into Turks & Caicos but they still demand you have the jab and multiple COVID rapid tests so that's a non-starter.

What's the least authoritarian location we could plan a trip around right now? Is it better to just go somewhere in the US or are things getting better?

Not really interested in Cozumel or Cancun because I hear the seaweed is out of control this time of year and the beaches stink and covered with it.

check out curacao and roatan.

roatan you needed a test to come in if you werent vaccinated. curacao you dont need anything.

US dropped requirement to test before coming home so you dont have to worry about that.

I just returned from Cozumel and the grass on the west side of the island is almost non existent. The east side is a different story, but there are no places to stay on the east side anyway. Don't know about Cancun, we flew straight into CZM an never left. I would not cross Cozumel off your list due to grass alone.
