Depends on circumstances
I took $500 to fly later on a work trip just meant I got home really late Friday

$400 if I am guaranteed to leave within 4 hours. $600 if I am guaranteed to leave within 6 hours. $800 if I am guaranteed to leave within 8 hours.
To push my flight back an entire day, it would probably require $1000.

I usually have a prepaid hotel room waiting on me at the destination, so I never consider any of the offers. Now if the offer included first class on a flight to Europe, I’d take a look.

I don't get overbooked flights. So what, they sell more tickets than they have seats just to make sure they make all the money they can while fricking over their customers?

I flew out of LAX on 12-24 and the flight before mine was going to Burbank & they needed 16 less people on it because of a a weight limit issue due to there being a fuel tank of fuel. So there's that scenario also. They were offering $100 vouchers for people to take the next flight an hour later and it appeared that they got enough volunteers.

Depends on who you are traveling with. Wife and kids would cost the airline a lot of$. By myself $400 net.
