My wife wants to make an overnight trip in Shreveport/Bossier. We have 2 young kids. I’m just looking for tips to entertain ourself for 48 hours.

1. Nice hotels? I prefer to not stay at a casino with the kids. Otherwise, I would like a nice hotel and don’t mind spending a little bit for it. Anything near shopping/boardwalk/entertainment?

2. What to do with kids? Anything special or fun for us to do with 2 younger kids (6&8 years old)?

3. Nice places to eat? Not sit down fancy (I don’t want to bring tired kids to a fancy place) but hopefully something fun with decent food. I really don’t want to go to Joe’s Crab Shack but that is where we will end up if I can’t do better because that is the only place the wife ever wants to go.

Why Shreveport?

My favorite restaurants there...
Herby K's
Superior Grill
Monjuni's
Strawn's for pie

Where are y'all coming from?

And if Joe's Crab Shack is where your wife always wants to go...I can't help much.

And you're still married to her?

Shreveport Mudbugs games are kinda fun if they're in town during your trip.
