Utah freshman running back Raycine Guillory has committed to LSU out of the transfer portal, according to multiple reports.

The Fort Worth, Texas, native played in just one game this past season and will have four years of eligibility remaining at LSU.

Guillory held offers from several SEC schools in high school and was once committed to Texas before signing with the Utes. One of those offers was from Lane Kiffin at Ole Miss.

Guillory is LSU's second commitment since the transfer portal opened on Jan. 2, joining Hawaii wide receiver Jackson Harris.

It’s like some people forget you need backups. A lot of guys jumped in the portal from LSU and you have to fill those holes. It amazes me the number of people that think any team, let alone LSU, is going to hit the portal and pay millions each for starters and backups. Any player you pay big money for is probably considered a top prospect and they aren’t signing to be a backup. The same people mad about signings like this probably thought LSU could land Sorsby and Levitt as the #2.

He was not highly rated at all lol. He was a top 60 RB from 247 and a top 40 RB in the composite. He is literally a similar size to Caden Durham.
