Class of 2025 tight end Mike Taylor announced his commitment to LSU on Saturday night.

The 6’4, 230-pound prospect from Columbia, S.C., chose the Tigers over Duke, NC State, West Virginia, and others. He is rated the No. 13 overall player in South Carolina for the current recruiting cycle.

Tyler's verbal pledge gives LSU 23 commitments for the class of 2025. He's LSU's second tight end committed to the class, joining four-star legacy TE JD LaFleur.

With Markway leaving, we needed another TE. He looks like another good one.

Stars don’t matter with Kelly and TE’s. He has a great track record of picking some of the very best

I think thy have him as a 3 star in most sites but we know that can and will change. He stands out and plays at a high level on a very good high school team in SC

The services have him rated a high 3* but after looking at his highlights, I would rate him a least a low 4*. He was outrunning secondary players with angles on him...don't know how fast those players were but he was moving down the field quickly so I can judge by that. He also ran a kickoff back and looked good in addition to blocking and receiving...mostly from a slot position. He even took a handoff or two from the backfield. LSU is correct to offer him.

Dude hasn't even completed his final year of HS ball! They aren't going to make anyone a 5 star prior to their senior year! Unless you Bryce Underwood!
