Who cares what he does after the season. Was he supposed to go back to his dorm and be depressed for several days? He gave his team 110% percent every game, so let the kid go hit some golf balls, if that is what he wants to do!

Nothing wrong with that. When I’m aggravated or just want to get out of my own head for a while I do the sane thing and hit a couple buckets at the range. It’s a great stress reliever. He could have been out getting hammered in the bar instead (he probably did that too understandably).
